Boomer, I am pretty much finished with this. Anything else that needs to be changed can be done by the end user.

I am going to send you a dload link for the template. DO NOT give this to anyone untill it has gotten an OK from the original author. Inform him of the dload link and give him the URL to the test forum so he can view it. Test Board After he approves it, start a new thread here and include the download link so others can access it.

You need to change the color of the copyright law as it is hard to read

qersys...it looks awesome Smiley

I've contacted Jakob to get his final nod and I'll let you know just as soon as I hear from him.

Question... how do you modify elements called by the <yabb thingy> tags?  I noticed that you are using the .png buttons and mine seems to want to default to the .gif files.  It appears to be controlled by the <yabb menu> tag and I want to cahnge it.

this is the problem. In order to use custom buttons with a template you must replace the default button set. If you do that all your templates will have to use the new button set. there is no way to have different buttons with different templates. Maybe someone could write a mod for this?

Anyhow, replace the images in "buttons/english" with the ones I sent in the zip file. Or you will have to use text buttons.

If you replace the images be sure to reload the page "shift+reload".

Hope this is what you were talking about...

Yeah... I was afraid of that Smiley No worries, once we get approval I'm going to make this the default template anyway.  I'll deal with the text buttons until then.

But I can see how that little "feature" might lead to some frustration with forums that like to provide their users with a lot of options...

Oh yea, don't forget to go into "admin\forum settings" and change the drop down box to: "buttons" instead of "icons and text"

Mmmm.... looks very nice and woody Wink
The only thing I don't like is the jumping up and down of the date/time and news block as soon as the newsline wraps.

Nothing to add here Smiley

Ron-didnt notice that in a high screen resolution/wide window width. I'll fix that up.

Xavier-I'll be leaving the copyright the way it is unless the original author wants it changed.

The only thing is that the copyright colors are hard to read of the background. not many people would be able to read it

Boomer - After reading my IM, if you should choose not to finish it I could always work on the one I started before. the screenshot is on page 2 of this thread. Maybe some different background images would help it... Grin
