That's what you think - expect a heavy-duty serious invoice in near future...  Grin

nah - j/k

@Outlaw - there should hopefully be a new "Add Dice" icon/link at the bottom of each thread after you've installed Dice.

@Panther - looking at your Display.pl later today...

I am thinking that THIS may be the problem in my display.pl?

Code
Select All
<search for>
        <a href="$cgi;action=sticky;thread=$viewnum">$img{'admin_sticky'}</a>
</search for>

<add after>
        $menusep$admin_dice
</add after>

when THIS is the actual line I have:

Code
Select All
<a href="$cgi;action=lock;thread=$viewnum">$img{'admin_lock'}</a><a href="$cgi;action=sticky;thread=$viewnum">$img{'admin_sticky'}</a>);

So, where is the correct placement for $menusep$admin_dice

I've got the mod loaded, love the idea, and am just getting started playing with it.

First problem I've seen -
after clicking "add dice" to a topic and then deciding to remove them it seems that clicking "remove dice" doesn't do it - they are still there.

@Outlaw - looks to me like you have mooved your "Sticky, Lock ect." to the top of your board. If this is true the $admin_dice var is assigned it's value after it should have been used. Again - if this is true do this:

Find this
Code
Select All
      if(-e ("$vardir/$viewnum.die")) {
            fopen(FILE, "$vardir/$viewnum.die");
            @dicesettings = <FILE>;
            fclose(FILE);
            chomp(@dicesettings);
            $admin_dice = qq~&nbsp;<a href="$cgi;action=dicerem;dsetup=$viewnum">$img{'rem_dice'}</a>~;
      }
      else {
            $admin_dice = qq~&nbsp;<a href="$cgi;action=dicesetup;dsetup=$viewnum;dback=dadd">$img{'add_dice'}</a>~;
      }

cut it out and paste it after this
Code
Select All
                        $admin_rate = qq~<a me;ratename=$msubthread">$img{'add_rating'}</a>~;
                }
        }

@Panther - The Display.pl is getting so crowded that it's very hard to find head and tail of the code - that's why i'm not up with a solution for you yet...

@Mike Fountain - when you say "they are still there" do you mean the "Goto Dice" and "Add Roll" icons/links or the posts?

After doing some poking around, it seems to be a security issue on my setup.

The program can create the file, but cannot delete it.  After I changed the security to "everyone - full control" (777) for that file the "Remove Dice" link worked.

I've got some questions about how I've got security set up on my files/folders, but I'll take that over to another board so this topic doesn't get sidetracked.

Ok, so maybe I will ask the security question here - I can't seem to find an answer elsewhere.

On the "Windows Installation and Setup"  board, the Win2000 Installation and security topic from Ron|Spikecity seems to says that the variable folder should be set for everyone to have Read,Write,Read/Execute,and List permission.

But, this doesn't seem to give permission to delete files.

Is anyone running this mod on a windows system, and if so, what do you have your security set for?  I'm not really crazy about giving everyone full control, but will if that is what it takes to make it work.

@Panther - the fix for your Security.pl you mention earlier should as far as i can see do the trick for you.
I have attached a code that should take care of the step 9 problem. Hope this will help...

@Panther - STOP - you should use the fix attached to this post instead of the prev.  Undecided

I forgot to add the multidelete info to the "Dice posts".

I wasnt going anywhere... lmao Thank you Angry just kidding Grin Well, anyway... heres the deal if almost installed without any errors but 1 error did stop it... You remember that error on step # 7? The one with the zodiac signs or relationships? Well, your gonna have to fix that... because the "</font></td>" are all the way past the relationship/mood mod by extrasweetgirl Shocked Like this:

Code
Select All
		$postinfo
	 ~;
}
if($rsttest eq $relationship[0]) {
	$yymain .= qq~
<b>$txtrst{'0a'} :</b> $relationship[0]<br>
<img src="$imagesdir/moods/$modtest.gif" border="0" alt="$musername is $moody[0]">
		  ~;
} else {

	$yymain .= qq~
<img src="$imagesdir/moods/$modtest.gif" border="0" alt="$musername is $moody[0]">
		  ~;
}
	$yymain .= qq~
~;
			if ($mstate != 1) { $yymain .= qq~
			<br><b>$qatxt{'1'}</b><br><a href="javascript:to_quote()">$qatxt{'2'}</a><br><a href="javascript:to_user('$userprofile[1]')">$qatxt{'3'}</a>~; }
			$yymain .= qq~

		</font></td>

Theres 2 "$postinfo"s, I guess you want to edit the 2nd one... thats where the above comes from... I have already uninstalled the mood mod and tryed to install this one but I guess that wasnt the one mod that changed the code Undecided Thank you Wink
