	Shoeby reminds me of a friend of mine. Sometimes we amused ourselves by counting how many times he says a word which kinda equals with f*ck in Finnish. I believe the average was somewhere between 10 -15. Per minute. And that's when he wasn't excited or angry or such, just plain ol' himself... But yeah, I can feel you Shoeby, sometimes I get the same feeling...

	if they are capable of hacking this board its rather stupid to diss them Wouldnt you say Cause if it can be done once Nothing is stopping it from happening again so By calling them names And dissing them your Just provoking them and 9 times out of ten Its usually The cause a lazy admin did not patch something and some kiddie Just used a Released exploit so Just for a train of thought keep that in mind

	Once again, this board was not hacked, the attack was against the server and nothing to do with perl YaBB. Whether it will happen again or not, that doesn't stop me from calling them miserable b***ards.

	What did the index page say? "Defaced" with some logo or the Red X ? Same nuts happened to my site a few months ago.

	70 mods installed on my SP1.3.1 on a Microsoft .NET - Microsoft-IIS/5.0 server.

	Same here - the hole was in the setup of the server that we switched to. We sure are collecting a lot of data on the proxies that the guy is using. Not a hacker - just another YaBB forum admin with too much time on their hands, a taker - not a giver with some personal problems. Oh - McG aka McGyver - you better not have any problems with any of my mods. Then again - wouldn't be surprised if your Internet access was pulled soon and some people knock on your door soon due to the nature of one of the proxies that you used. LMAO at You - to quote a recent IM that I received from you on this forum - not that it matters - you're muted in my IM list now.

	Perhaps this sounds silly, but could we kind of "let this thing go" by now? When someone comes to our front page, the first thing he sees is "Yeah we got hacked". That happened a month ago already, has been solved, the whole was plugged. time to move on. The point is: It isn't good to have old stuff as first things people see. IF someone is really interested to see what happened, he'll surely dig this thread up. Same thing btw is with yabbforum.com. Months old "latest news" in the front page...uh...

	I don't think it's a good idea to hide the facts. But it's true that we need something new... What if someone would write a little article, let's say testing some of the great mods released in the last weeks? Would be worth to be announced in the news, wouldn't it?

I was actually about to suggest a new news post myself.. It looks pretty bad to constantly see "yeah we were hacked." It would seem like there is either never new news, there is always a security problem here, whatever. And if people don't read the date, they'll think it's new news. Probably not a good advertisement for YaBB or Boardmod.
