Thanks to Andrew Aitken we now have a mac section on the faq page. That should answer all the common questions mac people  might have about BoardMod and mods in general.

I started work a while ago on a PHP script to install mods - still work to do (main problem was that I had to go through and manually change files to unix line endings first - am sure I can do this in PHP just don't know how yet.  Anyone interested in seeing the script let me know.

You might want to take a look into YaBB SE's Packman, it's a php function which can install .mod files. There is also a perl script which does the same thing:
