	OK, following a spicy discussion on how to hide referer data using a third party server here is my solution It's called URL Dereferer Mod SP1.3 Get the mod here Just test it on the Platinum demo board leaving a linked url to your own board and check the clicklog if any referer data is logged. UPDATE Version 1.0b is online now. This fixes the problem with referals to YaBB url's

	what is the downside of not having this again? I'm a bit unclear of the vulnerabilities that this mod is supposed to cure

	If I understand this right, it will not really hide the referer, it will still point to your YaBB.pl right?

Posted a link on the platinum demo board to here and click on it. http://www.yabb.nl/cgi-bin/platinum/YaBB.pl?board=testing;action=display;num=105... If all goes well there will be no trace of it in the clicklog on this board.

	I have installed this mod without problems... until some time later I found that the links pointing to other threads posted 'inside' my bulletin board don't work any more When I put my cursos over a link the path is displayed in the status bar. The path is not actually the full path and displays ".....cgi?action=dereferer;u" When you click on my links you always return to the main page. Is it meant to be like that or is it a 'side effect'? How can I get the links to work? Thank you.

	Yes, of course. The URL is Language Forum You will find a link that is not working on: Practica tu Español/Castellano aqui > Estudiantes de Castellano > La gramática criolla That was an 'old' link that was working correctly. (Note: If you visit my site and see that the links work it is because I uninstalled the mod temporarily until it is updated.) I reinstalled the mod (1.0b) today. It is working properly now. 	Ut Oh! When I place a URL link in any post on my site, it shows the proper link in the post, but sends me back to my main index page. Example: I put this url in my site: http://boardmod.yabbforum.com/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=new_mods_beta;action=display;nu... BUT... It opens a new window with my main index page, and THIS url in my address bar: http://thedeckpro.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?action=dereferer;url=http://boardmod.... What to do Ron? Normal links work, I think it is a small problem with the readform code in SP1.3.1 (I recognize the problem, so I'll have to dig into my Platinum code, which now also uses 1.3.1 code how I fixed it) Mod will be updated soon.

With normal links it will work, but as I found out later if you have a full YaBB url, with known action codes in the url, it gets confused and it will send you to the boardindex of the base url)
