First off...thanks for everything you do and offer here.

Now....I installed this mod yesterday, but I still can't upload any avatars at all either from my PC or from a URL.  I've even tried expanding the width and length of the avatar to fit my pic or even reducing the size of the pic to fit into the av screen....but still no luck.

I had to hand-key the mod changes into the required .pl files, because somehow my version of BoardMod doesn't allow uploads of YaBB 2.1 mods yet....perhaps I may have made the error there.

Anthony ...  When you unzip BoardMOD, it install the BoardMOD directory and a sub-directory under that named ModEditor and another named MODs.  Under the sub named MODs, you have to make a sub named 2.1
   In this 2.1 sub directory you made is where you place the MOD file(s).  Then when you start the Board program, Top is a window states Path to Script, "Browse" to the directory where YaBB.pl is that you downloaded from your Host. To the right of that is a window that you can now select the 2.1 directory you created.
   Then you able to run BoardMOD in Auto.  Just by clicking on the MOD in the right side window.

Sorry if this is already fixed up.

But I am building a BlogCategories mod http://www.boardmod.org/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=beta_y2;action=display;num=1181028782
that uses your mod and I noticed you forgot to implement some things in the UsersAvatars.pl

You left out these few lines.
<search for>
     my $userav = $_[0];
     my $userpic = $_[1];
     
     if ($memgrupuavok) {
</search for>

<add after>
             if ($userpic =~ m~/UsersAvatars/~) {
               $checked= qq~checked="checked"~;
               $tmp = $userpic;
           }
</add after>

This will add some nice default values to the Profiles page.

This is the second time I try to install it and still it's not working.

Doesn't give any errors, uploads the file to UserAvatars directory, but it's not displaying it in the Profile or in the forum.

CrazyLeaf, You probably have the same problem as Driven and I, so change the URL in the Users Avatars Upload section of Admin Center.

Try changing the url from ./avatars/UsersAvatars to
UsersAvatars

SOLVED... install the v1.5 and it's ok



Hello,
i've a strange problem with this mod.

using yabb2.1 and UsersAvatarsUpload v1

when i try to upload an avatar, the file will be written in the UsersAvatars-dir. I can see the file in a shell.
But after upload, the file is gone an d the directory is empty.
There is no error-message and the link in the user-profile points to the "lost" file.

Any ideas?

I'm using this mod and it's working fine except for one issue. When a member changes templates, their avatar gets deleted and they have to upload it again.

Is there any way to change it so that their avatar stays put when they switch templates?

Hello , today i have install this mod in my site .
I try upload image from others server site is working fine .
But when i try upload image from pc , it was not showing in profile .
I can see the upload file in useravatars folder .

Did i need to enable the attachment setting ?
Hope any one can help me solve this problem .

One general question:  has this mod been updated in any way for use in YaBB 2.2??

I originally had it in my 2.1 version, but it didn't cross over to my newest upgrade.


Any help would be appreciated.
