I have seen the server list within the file ircnetwork.txt - can I simply add one of these servers within the admin centre once the mod has been installed ? Or do I have to contact the server asking permission for a channel first ?

You just enter the name in the settings you can then register the forum name which you also have in the setting and also your user name. To be honest you don't need to do anything once the settings have been done and saved.

Basically, I didn't want to instal the mod without having prepped properly. So, in conclusion, I can simply select an IRC server from the included list, add it into the chat settings with the other settings and I'm good to go ??

The "Show 'Chat User Online' in 'Info Center'?" function doesn't work. The box shows up, but it always says no one is on the chat (even when I'm on it myself) ???

EDIT: also, the help tools above the chat window do nothing

hi

thx for the mod!

i have two requests for it Wink

first, is it possible to add a sound if somebody enters the chat?

i tried to use
<param name="soundword1" value="word snd/sound.au">
but it don't fit with topic or entrymsg words Sad


second, with firefox the cursor in the input field gets lost after the automatic reload of the applett. that's very annoying when you in the middle of writing.

is there a way to push it back in the field with javascript or something else?

found some wrong code. if you want to join other channels with the applett do this:

find in ChatIRC.pl:
Code
Select All
$ChatIRC_Code .= qq~
			<param name="authorizedjoinlist" value="none+#$channel_name">
			<param name="soundbeep" value="ModImages/ChatIRC/Sound/bell2.au">


and replace with:

Select All
$ChatIRC_Code .= qq~

This is a great mod that I wish I came across earlier.  I'm running YaBB2.1 and am having a few issues.

First of all, I don't think this mod likes IE7.  I get the following error message:



And the chat window has the little red x in the corner.

When I run it through FireFox, it starts up ok... but when trying to connect to a server, I get the following error message:

Code
Select All
Unable to connect : java.security.AccessControlException : access denied (java.net.SocketPermission irc.efnet.info resolve)


Any advice?
