Apply the mod, then edit your boardindex file by hand to change the HTML... it's just a case of rowspans and tds and bgcolor=pinks and such blah de blah.

All I use is Notepad.

Okay okay... that's not true.  I also tend to use the text editor in CuteFTP Pro.

I use Notepad for everything.  All my coding wither it be HTML< JavaScript, ASP, Perl... you want to show people proof that a good site and layout can be made with just notepad send them over to http://www.3dxl.com

I did that, all of that... in Notepad!

I improved different things in BoardIndex.pl the last days/weeks and recognized that the online indicator of this mod did not work very well - e.g. users who were online weren't displayed as online in recent users list. So I put in an other routine to check that and changed the look of the output a little bit.

Then I recognized that the mod seems to "see" users only if they are on board index, could that be? So for example if a user browses different threads within a forum for 20 minutes without calling the board index, he will fall down in the recent users list although he's online while others who used the "logout" button will stay on top although they're offline... kinda weird.

If you want to see what I mean, have a look at my info center at www.silenthill-forum.de and compare the users online list with the recent users list.

Hm... ok. It's understandable that you did it like that to save processing time.
