This mod installs and works with SP1.1, 1.2 and 1.3.1.

It adds a list of the x most recent visitors, optionally with their avatars, to the info centre on the board index. It is meant to add a little colour and sense of community to your board.

It doesnt work properly, in the settings part of the admin section the options are not visible you can see the boxes where settings would go, but you don't know what to change them to, it could be a problem with me but I dont know

I think you use another Language file than the one the mod has written in Wink

Try to rename the language file in "english.lng" while installing and rename it after that.

It's not guaranteed that the first person on the list will be you, so it would be a bad thing to do that. Also, due to the way the recent user list is stored on file, you'd come into problems if you'd want to hide yourself from display.

Basically it would involve re-writing the mod which I don't particularly want to do until YaBB2 comes along.

I was wondering if you could alter the mod so that invisible users are not longer showed on the recent list. Is this possible?

I looked into doing this when the mod was still beta. Basically it can be done but the inevitable problem is that once you start hiding users you're not guaranteed to get the number of users showing up in the list you expect.

For example suppose you set it to show 5, but 2 of those stored on file are invisible, so you end up with just 3 shown on the board index. It's possible all 5 could be invisible then you'd end up with nothing shown.

I looked at storing "backup" users in the list bu the same basic problem occurs that even the backup users might be invisible so you could end up storing an infinite number of users on file just to be able to show the most recent 5 who aren't invisible.

So, basically, no, it isn't possible (unless some clever-ass mother can come up with a practical solution). Sorry.

Couldn't honestly tell you, but someone else was wanting MSN compatibility so I grabbed the mod from the database and based compatibility on that. I haven't used the MSN mod myself, however, if you do get it working on a SP1.2/1.3 board, the Recent Users List mod will now recognise it.

Ronnie, a poster elsewhere suggested I contact you with a slight problem, he seems to think you cured it for someone else, it's the blue square issue when Recent Users is used with the Calendar mod. I get a blue square at the bottom, see here :-
