Fixed bug not writing/deleting tabs in all existing language files. Also added missing "1;" return arg. in deutsche_du tabmenu.lng - All changes are in AdvancedTabs.pl and Deutsche_Du/tabmenu.lng files.

Not a bug-fix - only a small change in "AdvancedTabs.pl" to clean up empty files. New zip package attached to first post.

Here's something I'm not sure how to do.

I want to replace the "PM to Admin" tab (since I can't edit the text) to one that says "Notify Admin."

Only way I can see to do this is to add another tab... but as soon as I paste the url in that new tab and save it, it alters both the new tab AND the old tab, making both identical.  From that point, there is no way to delete the old tab without deleting both of them... leaving you with NO tab.

I made another new tab, but now it will not show up at all to guests even though the guests+ option is selected and in Admin Center/Forum Settings/PM the option to allow guests to PM the admin is checked.

So how do I fix this... must I rename the new button to "PM to Admin" or do I have to reload everything?

Hi
PM to Admin is a standard Text no custom added Tab Text. You need change it in English/Menu.lng

'pmadmin' => 'PM to admin',

your other problem, should working show new tabs for guests if PM To Admin is enabled.

Hi Carsten, great Mod,

with Yabb 2.2 and this Mod I have never to go on Jet Lis (thanks again) nervs for making me Header Buttons  Grin

but one question, I use the Custom Page mod from 2.1 which works perfectly with 2.2 but if I put an URL of a custompage in the advanced tab, I only get as result my normal URL zo my Board and not to the custompage, is there a trick or is it a bug?

Hi Carsten
@ThM have a request.  Embarrassed
If edit a tab currently only change text or delete tab. Possible to change url, check/uncheck new window? Also same if you add tab.

So user no delete first the tab by typing wrong url or so.  Grin

I had to do this several times yesterday while testing so this would be a handy extra feature if possible please?

When creating a tab all the url's I entered worked except this one:
http://www.eulogia.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.pl?custompage=code

I discovered that it wasn't being added to the 'tabs_ext.def' I got it to work by adding it manually to the file like this:
Code
Select All
reciprocal_link_code	http://www.eulogia.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum/YaBB.pl?custompage=code
1|0|0|0|1

I had to move the 1|0|0|0|1 onto a new line though.

@ aerow90. Flan and ccar:

Problem is that for some reason the author of the "Custom Pages" mod does not use the "action" functionallity of YaBB. I've attached a new zip package to the first post - only changes in "AdvancedTabs.pl" - please test it and report back - i didn't test it with Custom Pages mod as i do not have it installed.

@ccar - that code should be:
Code
Select All
reciprocal_link_code	http://www.eulogia.co.uk/cgi-bin/forum2/YaBB.pl?custompage=code|0|0|0|1

@ Flan - make sure your language folder(s) are chmod 755

@JetLi, ThM and ccar: I'd prefer to keep it the way it is to keep it clean and simple.
To get the url right you can almost always just go to the site you want to link to and copy the url from the browsers address field and then go to click "Add Tab" and paste it in the URL field. The script will split it up and put it back together again in the correct format.
