This is the YaBB 2.2 Version of this mod

This mod implements a /you feature into your YaBBC code.  When you use the /you feature, it will print the name of the person reading the topic.  This mod also implements a feature called /you-me, which will print the name of the person reading the topic in the same manner that the me tag prints the name of the person that wrote the topic.  In other words, if you use the /you-me tag, it will print the user's name in red italics.

Installation Instructions:
Apply this modification manually or by using BoardMod.  This modification is set to modify ubbc.js.  If you simply unzipped your YaBB 2.1 package and have not moved your files at all, BoardMod should automatically locate your ubbc.js file.  If your "public_html" folder is not present within your YaBB 2.1 directory, then BoardMod will not automatically locate your ubbc.js file.  You will need to copy your ubbc.js file into the directory in which your YaBB.pl file resides, and then apply the "you_feature_y2_01d_alt" mod instead of this one.

Upload the following modified files:
/public_html/yabbfiles/ubbc.js
/cgi-bin/yabb2/Sources/YaBBC.pl
/cgi-bin/yabb2/Sources/Post.pl
/cgi-bin/yabb2/Admin/ModList.pl
/cgi-bin/yabb2/Admin/AdminEdit.pl
/cgi-bin/yabb2/Admin/AdminSubList.pl
/cgi-bin/yabb2/AdminIndex.pl

Upload the following new files (included in this mod package):
/cgi-bin/yabb2/Variables/YouSettings.txt
/cgi-bin/yabb2/Languages/English/You.lng
/public_html/yabbfiles/ModImages/you_buttons/*.*

This is the YaBB2 version of this mod.

Changelog:
From 0.1c
Added a /you button to Post page.
From 0.1b
Fixed small bug that caused guests to see a blank space in place of any sort of username.  They will now simply see the word "Guest" in place of their username.
From 0.1a
Changed the original /you tag to be /you-me now.  The /you-me tag will now print the reader's display name exactly the way the me tag does.  In other words, if you use the /you-me tag, it will print the reader's display name in red italics.

Hi Curtiss,

where is the different between the two
mod-Files in your Zip-File? Which one I

Greetings

The only difference between the two mods is the location where it looks for ubbc.js.

If you have your directory structure completely intact (the way it comes out of the ZIP file), then the normal one will work.

If you don't have your ubbc.js file in /public_html/yabbfiles/ on your hard drive, then you will need to copy ubbc.js into the directory where your YaBB.pl file resides and then run the "alt" version of the mod.

In other words, the normal one is for:
/public_html/yabbfiles/ubbc.js
/cgi-bin/yabb2/*.pl

The alt one is for:
/cgi-bin/yabb2/ubbc.js
/cgi-bin/yabb2/*.pl

Currently using Y2.3 With no mods (though that will hopefully change, soon).

Hi,

thank you. I take the "alt-Version". Next time
I read the Discription before I ask Wink

An German-Translation attached. You can use
it for German and German_Du
