Hi I'm very new to all of this and just tried to install this mod.... I've got it showing in the admin area for yabb 2.1 but when i click the "edit profile fields" button it comes up with this error message:

Untrapped Error:

i have yabb 2.1 and security patch installed

i want only one feature which is provided in extended profile mod that is new message pop up.

in past i installed extended profile but applied security patch which edited profile.pl

but i still have option for enable pop up message in all user profile.

now pop up new message option is off by default for all members , now can you please tell me how to set it enable for all new members and all users by default i mean which file i have to edit to put this feature enable.

This is not related to this mod, but here is your info anyway:

You have to edit Register.pl for this. Look for
Code
Select All
	${$uid.$reguser}{'pageindex'}     = qq~1|1|1~;

and add this below:

Hello.

I've had a forum for a while and tonight  finally decided to use a few of your ace mods. News Fader Colours and AC Update have gone in fine, but on uploading and attempting to use Extended Profiles, I met with a similar message to Freediver.

So, I tried changing my paths as suggested and now, since trying to save the changes, I'm only getting...

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@neiledmond.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

... and am unable to access anything, let alone change my path settings back.

Any help very much appreciated. I have The Fear.

Well... I stopped panicking and figured out that I could just overwrite with my backed-up Path.pl, but I'd still like some advice on how to get the mod working, if possible...

Incidentally, are you aware of a Judge Prager in Judge Dredd comic? He's a werewolf, but one on the side of The Law.

Hi all, I'm trying to get this excellent mod installed on my YABB2.1 board using BoardMod 2.5.6 and I'm getting the following error during installation. The only other mod I have installed is Registration Approval v1.96. Can anyone help? I'm new to mod installations.

Hi this is my 1st mod, so sorry for asking this question.

I have the same problem as FreeDiver, I want to use the fix in the paths like you have advised, but I'm scared to loose my board if I mess it up.

What would happen if I mess up the directories and Paths?

It's not that I don't trust you, I just don't want to mess up my forum and not be able to access it to fix it again.

So could you advise me on exactely what ones to change and what one not to please?

Don't worry, I uploaded a 2nd forum to my site and tried it on there to make sure it worked.
So now I've done it to my real forum and the mod does work.

If you mess with your paths, you can easily make the forum stop working. But it can also easily be fixed without access to the forum. Just change the lines in question in Paths.pl
