Well honestly I am really not sure what kinda server you woudl call mine.

I'm running win2000Pro the webserver software I'm using is Jana Server 2 and I'm running Active Perl 5.8.2.

It tells me... "Thu, 10.03.2005 23:33:42 : Cgi-Program terminatet with error. ErrorCode: -1073741819"

I'll look into what that error means, if I can find it.

If you can think of any logs that would be written for perl.exe let me knwo and I'll check for them.

And just to provide as much information as possible, I downloaded your updated version and uploaded the new extendedprofiles.pl file, but it made no difference in regards to my issues.

Form still breaks off at the same place, and still no button to add new fields.

Interestingly, as soon as I deleted the first extra field, the form with the place to add new fields came back, so I can now create some new fields, to do more testing.

But when I go through and try to edit the options on the second (biography) field, that form is still broken, so any changes cannot be added.

Meanwhile, even after I have deleted both extra fields, on the EP section of the admin center, there is broken code at the bottom of the field:

I don't get it, I've cleaned the code so that it would run even in strict mode, removed all warnings Undecided

The error I showed above was logged by my webserver software.

I do not know the exact meaning of that error number.  I have yet to find it.  I also do not know if there are any such logs for perl.exe.

I have never had any problems like this before with any of the scrips i've run whether written by myself or someone else.  I would realy like to know why this is happening and help get it fixed.

Are you sure hte problem is the ExtendedProfiles.pl?

Because so far I only have this problem when in the Admin Center and attempting to view/modify the Extended Profile settings.

I can view posts, profiles, etc.  And I have one EP settings made, can't edit how it's used but it's there in the members profiles to be filled in.

I'll say again just incase I was no clear...  The only time Perl.exe crashes (which is the problem I am having) is when in the Admin Center viewing/modifying the EP settings.

I guess it would be since that is where those subroutines are located.  I'm looking through the coding now to see if I can come up with anything or at least come up wtih something that I dont' understand. :Cheesy

Will download the newest version and see if it clears up any of the problems.

Uninstalled and reinstalled, in case there was any small glitch in the original install.

Still have the small bit of broken form at the bottom of the page, on the main page, and this bit of broken code at the bottom of the page when trying to modify the one field I have currently added:

Again, I'll report back any differences I find after adding in the newest coding.

I can also provide you an admin account on my test board so you can view the issues there, yourself.

Say ... name of 'Michael' and password of 'extended' ... test board is located at http://twistedcreation.net/cgi-bin/YaBB2TestForum/YaBB.pl

And on the error log ... neither the YaBB error log nor the server error log show any errors related to this. Maybe I'll have to check my browser settings to see if there is any way to get errors from it.

Latest version updated.

Broken part at bottom of main EP page has now been cleared up, no more </div sitting there causing trouble.

Okay.... This problem only happens when it can access the extended_profiles_order.txt file.

The mod does not run properly but it isn't crashing. Smiley

Not sure if that helps.
