Check that...regarding the default.css...found the file.

Jans, could you tweak the mod so that it installs with boardmod.exe?

please..

It bombs on STEP 1, as it cannot find <yabb main>, which it appears in my file.

Thanks in advance

Ok...I got this installed.

Had to add spaces here and there.  One thing about it is that it points to default.css file which you need to change the location.

sorry if I did not react any sooner, i am a bit busy as spring is gone come and I want to have lots of things in and around the house done before I get to busy again as i did last year.

Anyway as you found out most of the times it is something with to little or to many spaces that causes some mods not to install, check this and almost certain it works after changing it.

No problem..

I have a request though....

There is currently a selection to display the text in a font color... which is OK.. but can you make another choice...a separate color selection for the date/time?

Also, what determines the boxes being highlighted?

Here is my board;

Thanks in advance.

If you have read first post you would know that this really is not my mod but just a very small enhanced version of it, actually only a replacement of some code to get rid of the ruler and adding a nicer separation line and I have added 2 small graphics, also I've overhauled the admin part so it is more intuitive. Nothing more.

And as I am not a coder I can't really help you, you should address your requests to Ferazelt regarding that, perhaps a visit to his www could et you to draw his attention.

Does anyone actually have something that could put this bar in a html webpage, even if frames have to be used? I seriously need this and it seems that we've wandered off that subject.

First of all, I fixed notifications on my forum, so even if you dont want to check it every day please at least go sign up on it, it has EVERYTHING relating what I do. All bugs, Suggestions, everything.
http://devonst17.is-a-geek.com/

now, on to the message:

Hey hey! sorry sorry, I am here now. Uh, @ExhaultedRuler
Please upgrade to version 1.3 complete, I dont believe there is a upgrade mod for this, so you will have to go through the .mod file backward (Or use BoardMod to uninstall it) then install 1.3. You dont have to clear out your variable files, but it is recommended.

@Loffy: Thats coming in 1.4

@John123White:
Code
Select All
<table width="100%" cellspacing="0" align="center">
     <tr>
           <td valign="TOP" width="*">
                 <BR><yabb main><BR>
           </td>
           <yabb RecentPostsBar>
     </tr>
</table>

The line 2 lines under RecentPostsBar should be /table not /p

@Ferazelt...yay!  you made it...

I already have 1.3 installed works good, just a few requests:

- separate color for date & time
- also, I use Bro_co03's Sub-boards, any chance you can retrieve last messages from the sub-boards?

That's my wishlist Smiley

Thanks in advance,

ER

This may be an old thread, but I just installed this last week and have been modifying it.  I wanted a way to see more than the last 10 posts, so I added this mod.  I was not too fond of the side bar, so I modified it to make a bottom recent post menu.  It worked, but the toggle feature made the side bar preference message appear.  This evening I made more changes to the file and it now toggles the menu on and off!

I changed the wording from bar to menu since it is not a side bar anymore.  Like the other guy, I want to give full credit to devon for this mod.  Perhaps this can be fine tuned and made into a recent post menu mod and you can have 2 versions to offer?

I used version 1.3.  I was finding inconsistencies with the html code, it looked like there was too many /tr /td /table commands in one section and a missing tr in another.  Yabb2.1 uses xhtml and this mod was not xhtml from what I saw.  br needs to have a space and then a backslash, unlike with html.

This morning I came across what I really needed and installed the mod to allow 5-100 of the most recent posts to be displayed.  So now both mods are installed and working, I like them both!
