No 1.1, I'm afraid. Here's a modfile to fix what I fixed in YaBB CVS. I want to keep this out of the core mod, as it won't be needed eventually. Wink

1.1 is out. 1.1 fixes the bug with the profile and the bug with global announcements. See the first post for downloads. If you're upgrading from 1.0, you can just upload the language and admin files and resave your settings.

Bug report (can't believe I didn't see this until now):  When selecting a message icon, the new icon selected doesn't load to the right of the drop down box.

I love this mod.

That's another YaBB 2 bug with the imgloc stuff. I'll fix it in CVS and add the fix to my imgloc mod here.

Hai AK,

Is there an option in this mod to set a different dir for the buttonsets of each template and/or an option for different smiliesets?  I currently am in search of a mod that allows an admin to set a buttonmap for each of his templates so the default button map is not always to be copied over with new buttons every time you change your templates.

Here's 1.2. I made the Admin area work better, as now the categories are mixed with boards as they appear on the BoardIndex. Make sure to check what files to upload, as I added one (Load.pl).

The best part, though, is the ability to add a file ($templatesdir/$template/$template.def) to change the menu def for that template. This affect isn't limited to just Board Templates, either, so it should be fairly useful. I found a way to merge the two defs together, so if you don't have a string in the template .def, it's loaded from the forum default.

Here's the entry from the modfile:
1.2 (YaBB 2.0/2.1): Changed the arrangement of boards and categories in the Admin section to match the view on the Board Index. Added the ability to use a different .def file with a template. (December 8th, 2005)

Oh, and about the smilie sets: The ability to handle that is in CVS as of today, so that won't be in this mod. Wink

1-I've got multiple templatesets on my forum

2-When I change the template I want the buttons that were created for this set automatically loaded if
I change template

3-Does this mod do that ?

4-If not can you make it do that ?

I think this mod does what you want. The template-specific menu set works even if you don't use the board-specific templates.

where do I put the buttons then ? not in the default buttonmap I guess ? but in a submap of somekind ?

Tested this mod, nice mod, but does not do what I mean.

I'll try to explain.

I use different templates for seasons and hollidays.
If I set these templates I always have to copy the buttons I designed for these templates over the default buttons in the ../buttons/language/  map.
Now all I want is, if I set a template, that the buttons that belong to this template are picked out of , lets say,  ../buttons/language/nicetemplateset/
Or better, give me a choice to select the buttonmap for that template (or give me an option to enter the path to it )


I've asked this to question to the devs of YaBB too but for as far as they can say this function will not come in the near future and would only to be expected in V3.0

Now I know lot's of users could use this function and if you could implement it in this existing mod, fine, but a seperate mod for this is, as far as I can wish for, the nicest solution.

I think my mod will do what you want. If you have it installed, try this:

1) Put the new buttons in ../buttons/language/nicetemplateset/
2) Copy the $vardir/Menu2.def file to $templates/$template/$template.def (replace the variables with their actual value)

Now in that new $template.def file you can edit the button path.
For instance, the admin button code is this

'admin' => "<img src=\"$html_root/Buttons/$button_language/admin.$imgext\" alt=\"$img_txt{'2'}\" border=\"0\" />",


You can change it to this

Select All
'admin' => "<img src=\"$html_root/Buttons/$button_language/nicetemplate/admin.$imgext\" alt=\"$img_txt{'2'}\" border=\"0\" />",

I tried that just this afternoon but the main forum template did not change, and thats what I wanted, or did I overlook something here ?

Tried it again, just to be shure I made no failures, but it does not work as you thought ot would.

The $template.def does not get read I think, it will not find the right buttons/buttonmap
