	Choose Position on Registration 1.1a YaBB2 only -------------------------------------------------------- New Beta Verision Here - Includes all known bug fixes. Allows registrants to choose their post independent position from the list of member groups. Admins can also select a registrant's position if they register them in the admin center. Just in case you don't want to wait for advance registration. Compatability -------------- YaBB 2 only Installation -------------------- 1. Mod the files (Registry.pl. ModList.pl, and Admin.pl) and upload in ASCII 2. Upload cpr.lng to the languages directory. History --------------- 1.0 Original release 1.1 Fixed major problem in two files that would not allow the post independent membergroups to be shown if they didn't have the word "Class" in their name (something particular to my class board) 1.1a - Updated for Y2 Final Release Upgrade Instructions ------------------------ - Just unistall and install the new version Hope this is useful. astro-pilot

	Theoretically, isn't this kind of dangerous? Wouldn't someone be able to register and assign themselves as a global mod, or possibly an admin? I'm guessing you've included some sort of check to keep those positions out of the choices?

	Currently using Y2.3 With no mods (though that will hopefully change, soon). Click Here To See A List Of All The Mods I've Written

This only allows them to choose one of the Post-Independent Member groups which the admin sets. The other dangerous options are not included in that.

	On the med school board I allow people to choose what class they are apart of (Class of 2006, etc.). But I can see this used in allowing people to pick a clan in a roll playing game.

	Nice Idea It could be good if its compatible with thath mod to let the admin assing a member to more than one group, but this mos its for sp1.3.x

	Updated a major error that would not allow the post-independent membergroups to be seen if they didn't have the word "class" in their name -this was something left over from my school board I run. ap

	What if you've got some post independent membergroups that you want hidden (ie. no one to select it)

	Rizzo, Very good point. I will need to update this mod to cover that. Let the admin choose if a user can pick it at registration or not...something. Anyway, if you have this in produciton and need a way to get arround it now, do this. In Register.pl <Search for> Code ($title, $stars, $starpic, $color) = split(/\\|/, $NoPost{$z}); and add below it Code if ($title =~ /(hidden1\|hidden2\|hidden3)/){$z++; next;} Hidden1, etc.. is the membergroups you do not want to be shown. If you just have one you do not want to show, put this in the above code instead /hidden1/. As, I said, I will update this pretty soon just for this. Maybe this weekend. ap
