Deine Einstellung in Settings.pl für $facesdir ist falsch. Du hast dort deine URL eingegeben anstatt den lokalen Serverpfad.

$facesdir = "../../yabb/images/avatars";                              # The server path to your avatars (userpics) folder
$facesurl = "http://www.MaD-DIDI.net/yabb/images/avatars";            # URL to your avatars folder

Ok, I had a problem... I solved it and write it here in case others have the same problem.

I have "Add more smileys" mod installed, but my regular smileys are still in ../../YaBBImages/ - not in ../../YaBBImages/smilies/ .

I'm not coder but I understand some parts of perl... so I recognized that "Switch Smilies" mod searches for "smilies.txt" in the vardir and if it exists it tries to copy the smilies to ../../YaBBImages/smilies.

I simply removed that part from the mod and now it works fine.

Dunno why that is like that on my board. Perhaps I don't have the actual version of "Add more smilies" installed.

Hi Michael

I'm a bit confused...

Could you clarify where I put the image folders and the images. I have the "add more smiles" mod installed so I initially put them here:

NB: PHO is my root directory.

/PHO/YaBBImages/smilies/smilies_halloween/

I also tried putting them here

/PHO/YaBBImages/smilies_halloween/

Is that correct because nothing happened?

I have edited switchsmilies.txt to read

current=smilies_halloween
default=smilies_normal
smilies_halloween|10/11/04 00:00:00|11/12/04 23:59:00
smilies_christmas|12/24/04 00:00:00|01/26/05 23:59:00

But nothing has changed and I still have the normal similes showing…???

Can you help

I also have "Add more smilies". I put the smilies for "Switch Smilies" in the YaBBImages dir... for example:

../YaBBImages/smilies_xmas
../YaBBImages/smilies_halloween

My switchsmilies.txt looks like that:

Quote:
current=smilies_rainbow
default=smilies_rainbow
smilies_easter|03/27/05 00:00:00|03/28/05 23:59:00
smilies_halloween|10/31/04 00:00:00|10/31/04 23:59:00
smilies_xmas|12/24/04 00:00:00|04/26/04 23:59:00

You can leave the 1st line as it is ("default=") .

Also check if you did all CHMODs like Michael wrote in the mod file.

Hope that helps a bit.

you'll have to put your smilies like

/PHO/YaBBImages/smilies_halloween/

and NOT like

/PHO/YaBBImages/smilies/smilies_halloween/

Also keep in mind that with your current config file nothing will change anyway as the smilies will replaced on 10/11/04 00:00:00 the first time. Also note that setting current=... to something doesn't affect the smilies currently used. That value is only internally used to determine if the current smilie set has already been replaced.

Oh my bad, I mess those date formats up all the time Roll Eyes
The date format of the file indeed is in american month/day/year format so the smilies should change. Make sure that current=.. is set to anything but smilies_rainbow because otherwise yabb will thing that it already replaced your smilies.

Hey, I can't get the mod to work. I Use SP 1.3.2 and my structure is like this /yabb/images/smilies_halloween

I've double checked date settings, local server time and such. I've also chmoded as the manual said. What can be wrong?

Thanks in advance Smiley

Michael

Did all that.. set the swswitchsmilies.txt to the following yesterday (16th Oct):

current=smilies_alien

default=smilies_normal
smilies_halloween|10/17/04 00:00:00|10/31/04 23:59:00
smilies_alien|11/02/04 00:00:00|11/05/04 23:59:00
smilies_christmas|12/24/04 00:00:00|01/26/05 23:59:00

This morning (17th October) it looks like this:

current=smilies_halloween
default=smilies_normal
smilies_halloween|10/17/04 00:00:00|10/31/04 23:59:00
smilies_alien|11/02/04 00:00:00|11/05/04 23:59:00
smilies_christmas|12/24/04 00:00:00|01/26/05 23:59:00

So the .txt file did change overnight but the images stayed the same.. normal smilies..?

My images are in these folders (see image)..any ideas?

Thanks
Michael

Ok obviously your yabb is copying the images fine, otherwise you'd have got an error message instead of a working yabb Wink

Try to empty your browser cache and see if the smilies are still the same.

Hello,

I have the same problem as "the singing detective". My mod has now changed and shows that current smiley set is smilies_halloween, but still my normal smilies display. I've emptied my cache, cookies and everything, but it's still not working. Any idea?

Hi Michael..

Tried that, no differences.. Yabb is still picking up the normal smilie images from the YabbImages directory rather than the sub directories..
