.opt and .dat in Manage Boards

BHRA, I believe the sort mod uses .opt files instead of the .dat to store data abou each board right? The peoblem I see is the .opt files do not allow HTML to work because of the quotes. So a url cannot be placed as part of the board description. Any help? Thanks.

The .opt files were supposed to be more flexible than the .dat files in terms of upgradability which is why the information is stored the way it is. The additional board information was stored to make the .dat file redundant, but this was never fully exploited, so that information can be safely removed/ignored.

when the file is written, change the variable delimiters to qq~...~ instead of "...". That way quotation marks, and hence html code, can be included in the variables without them being prematurely truncated (which would result in the error you encountered.)
