to enable it by default you can add the following into Post.pl:
search for

 $submittxt = "$txt{'105'}"; 

and add this before it:

 $FORM{enable_html} = 1; 

Limiting html to specific boards is a lot more difficult, you'd probably have to rewrite the whole mod for this. From my point of view it doesn't make much sence to restrict html only to specific boards anyway as you should allow html only for very few people you absolutly trust.

I've installed this in my forum, YaBB 1.4.  It's working great and I can't thank you enough.  However, there is one bug I was wondering if you could help me out with.

I've used HTML for updating highly detailed tables.  The problem is, when I go in and update the table, then save... the result is extremely spaced out as if the table row height was given a very large arbitrary number.

If you edit the message again, copy the whole code, and then paste over it, it works fine.  Does this only happen to me?  It's not hard to get into the habit of making a change, then copying and pasting routinely, but it's hard to explain to other users what they have to do and why.

Ah, well... I wouldn't know about any of that.  I'm guessing you're probably right since you already fixed the problem once.  I'm sure I nabbed the most current version before installing.  It just seems strange that you can post the message as is, or you can copy and post it without effectively changing anything, and it'll show up displayed in two separate manners.

From what I hear you saying, and please correct me if I'm wrong, but when you enter in fresh code (even copy and pasted directly), the message editing accepts the whole thing as HTML.  But when it is called back up and reposted, it's defining part of the code as HTML, and part by normal YaBB standards - thereby adding a line with each <br> as well as a line with each new line started in the code.

Quite a predicament.  I wonder if that bug could be used to incorporate the UBBC code as well?  Eh, probably not.

Am I really the first person to request this for 2.0?
