is this the same aim-2 that docda wrote? this is the one mod that i wait for before upgrading. when adding numerous mods i find i have a lot more success  installing this one first.. and the rest after. if so ill do an update pdq

Yes this is docda's AIM-2.  I just made it compatible with SP3.  Only the non-attachment vesion though.

I also wait for this one before upgrading.  I was impatient though, so I modified it myself.   Grin

Darn!

I get an 1 error on step 18! ??? Which looks like my Load.pl

Help! This is the last mod that I really need to complete my Board!

This is my first attempt at installing IMBox 2.0. I have been running 1.1 for the longest of time. So a couple of questions. One, is it suppose to look like the default install of YaBB's IM Box? Because I just did a fresh install of 1.3 and put only the IMBox 2.0 mod on and it doesn't appear to look any different than the default. Version 1.1 looks different and shows which messages has been read, replied to, etc. What am I suppose to be seeing? Also, I am getting an error message when I click on preferences.

First and foremost I would like to refer to this thread.  Ron, it is not my intention to infringe on anyone else's work.  My apologies to all that deserve them if I have given this improper idea about myself.

Second, I am to blame for my own post being in the wrong board.  If a MODerator out there would be so kind, please move this to the beta mod section, or delete this thread.  Thank you.

Third, to Cha0s.  Download the full package of AIMB 2.0. There are two files you need to copy to your sources directory.

And finally, dOCda S!  Thank you for creating this kick a$$ mod!

This might belong in the troubleshooting or bug section, but I figured I'd start here. I installed to mod flawlessly. Already had 2.0 on a verion 1.2 board so most people's setting are intact. But when trying to set preferences or using just about any other button on the IM page, it gives this error:

Untrapped Error:
Unrecognized character \xB3 at ./Sources/ line 1. Compilation failed in require at YaBB.pl line 67.


I'm hoping there is a quick fix for this. Thanks.

I had an error installing the mod

YaBB.pl


My YaBB.pl - v1.3 is  73 lines
YaBB.pl - v1.2 is 210 lines

Is my file correct?

The link in the readme file is dead, as are all the links that come up when I search this site for it.

The version 1.3 was for the file YaBB.pl... This file is 73 lines... the file YaBB.pl v 1.2 is 210 lines... The mode had an error on  v1.3 (YaBB.pl).

Is this file correct? the YaBB.pl (new version)
