I'm not sure why two weeks ago.
Sometime there was no mail notification to me although there were so many new posts that i marked.

@ Michael please take a look at mail program on this board I think there should be something wrong.

Thanks

The settings are correct, I get notifications to all the threads I marked regularly.

Nope, I've not tried that, but I will do now. It does seem to be fairly random when it happens, so it could simply be that topics I've recently subscribed to are working fine, but older ones are not.

Michael, am I right in thinking you said you made some modifications to the "Notify once" mod (to increase speed/efficiency) before installing it? I've looked for the original post but can't find it.

I was wondering if these changes mean that notifications made before the mod was installed (and so don't contain any "email sent" flag) are no longer recognised?

I don't think it's to do with whether you were on notification before or after the mod was applied.

Just doing a test now, I was not notified of posts in two different threads, on two different boards. I had been receiving topic reply notifications on those topics all night, then suddenly they stopped coming about 30 minutes ago, even though they were being posted in.  Undecided

That sounds very strange... almost as if it's a problem with this server's sendmail program Undecided

If it would be a bug in the code, it should either work or not, not a mixture of both for the same thread.

i'm pretty sure it's not my ISP being shoddy and not delivering the emais. I just got a topic reply for this thread, yet I still haven't had notification from the other threads....

The only thing I can think of is that there may be a problem whether the thread is marked as being read when you read it.... possibly. Also The problem seemed to occur at around 12 midnight GMT for me, i don't know if that may be significatn, it could be coincidence that it woked before midnight, and after midnight it didnt...

I'll keep an eye on it, and see what goes on with it. Smiley

@Michael

There might be something wrong with the notification system of this board. My mail browser works fine.I didn't recieved mail notification at all.
When i went back to my notification lists some threads that i marked disappeared.
And i needed to marked that thread to notify me again and again although i've marked before.

I told Michael about this sometime ago. I have tried everything, including disabling and enabling notification and it did not work.

I've deeply looked into the code and did a lot of tests but I couldn't find any hint of a problem.

That sounds as if the notification file got erased or something...

hmm, very odd indeed.....  ???

If there is nothing wrong that you can see, I guess we'll just have to live with the problem... i take it that you have not encountered the problem?
