Try using the attached script (you will need to rename it to have a .pl or .cgi extension before you try running it).

copy_yabbdiagnose.txt ( 1 KB | Downloads )

I'm not sure if it's ignorance or apathy, but I don't know and I don't care.

Definitely a good and useful tutorial.

Had to ask my host  admin in the end, though - turned out my path was based on:

/home/username/public_html/..etc

So if you're still having trouble, maybe try that.

Did ask a question regarding source paths for title graphic, but I'm now re-designing my site around frames instead.

Sincere apologies if distracted from board - feel free to remove/modify this post. Point appreciated and understood.

I would suggest posting that in the programming board. This board is for tutorials and feedback specifically on them. You probably won't get much help with questions here. Please don't respond to this post... it will be deleted to keep this thread clean within a couple of days.

Ok dave ta for that.

DOCUMENT_ROOT: /home/protrucks/public_html

it basically confirms I am using what I consider to be correct URL and path to faces dir though  Sad(

[edited by Dave because lots of information that wasn't needed and potentially dangerous to share was posted]

The document root shows you the base directory for all your files. So anything in your main website directory would be in the document root directory. From there, the paths are just like you see them in your FTP... with that information, you should be able to figure out the absolute path to any file or directory on your website easily.

You need to read the FAQ section... you don't actual try and open mods. You install them using a program called BoardMod and then upload the YaBB files that it changes on your computer to your server.
