This Mod will add a random question which must be answered on registration. You can add/edit/delete questions from the Admin Center. Obviously this won't do anything for human spam but will hopefully help against robots.

Installation:
----------------
1) Modify YaBB files using BoardMod or manually.
2) Upload modified files to your server in ASCII mode.
3) Upload AntispamQuestion.pl, AntispamQuestion.lng and RegQuestions.txt to their relevant directories in ASCII mode.
4) Go into Admin Center => BoardMod Mods => Anti-Spam Question to configure the settings.

It should work fine, it's just a search string or two which are different. Try the .mod file attached to this post (again, I've not tested) - you'll obviously still need the other files from the package attached to the first post.

You might also want to check out Carsten's 'SpamFruits' Mod if you're interested in this. From having a quick look, it looks like that will work with 2.3 how it is:

They both do a similar sort of thing really, so you've got the choice which one you want to use.

Yes, you could do, but I don't know how much point there would be in doing so. That would probably be a little 'over cautious'. Also, neither Mod will stop human spammers - they will only stop bots, and both Mods should work okay by themselves at stopping bots...

I think I had the first person/bot get past it yesterday on my test board, but I suspect they were human - Along with the other checks though, they still didn't manage to get through.

Anyone help me to know how can i Modify YaBB files using BoardMod ???? i want to add this mod in my YaBB forum but i dont know how can i do this. i am running indiancarz and getting lots of spam users. so for this i just need to intall this mod. so please someone help me to do this.
