No. YaBBC.pl should only be in the 'Sources' directory. But that's not causing your specific problem...

Hmmmm.....

I made all the files both .txt and .count to 644 and left the directory folders at 755 and still same thing.

Well, it's basically not finding the page text file.

Why do you have YaBBC.pl in the 'yabb2' folder? What does your file structure look like?

Your Variables/Pages/ folder should be somewhere like this:

cgi-bin/yabb2/Variables/Pages/*.txt

My Installed MOds, Custome Pages shows a full list of pages created.

It seems that somehow the YaBB.pl is calling the custompage mod for the name and it may not know how or looking in the wrong path?
Anyway to check this?

cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?custompage=IPR

Yes, it looks like that.  I also have on in the sources folder.  So looks like maybe a duplicate.  I'll rename it to YaBBC.pl.old and see if anything breaks.

Edit:  Nope, everything is fine.  Removed file. Maybe inadvertantly got copied their.

Sorry, I'm absolutely baffled.

Looking at your errors again though, why is your cg-bin in your public_html directory? Is this how the rest of it is set up?

yes,

but the error message show's that it is try to access public_html\cgi-bin\yabb2\Variables\Pages
But should be looking to
www\cgi-bin\yabb2\Variables\Pages

root
 public_html
    yabb2
    etc...  etc...
 www
     yabb2
      etc... etc...

my site points to www, but custompage points to public_html

I'm wondering is maybe pre 2.4 had custompage installed to public_html and when the prevoius web guy updated,  changed to www as this was also a change to a new hosting company at the same time.

For the last year,  al updates and changes have been thru www as that is where siteground points to from the internet, not public_html,  this has sat unused and not updated except for yabb mods just incase.

Yes I do, one in

root
   public_html
     cgi-bin

and one in

root
   www
     cgi-bin

I think we are onto something here.

The very top of paths states
/home/mydonaib/public_html/cgi-bin/yabb2/

All the full paths listed the same.  I changed the public_html tp www

Forum is still up and running.

but after I updated all the editable paths,  the default uneditable path at the top stil says.
/home/mydomain/public_html/cgi-bin/yabb2/

Any idea where I cange change the main top path?

all the other paths between board dir and variables are ./path
./Admin
./Boards

etc...

SO it looks like these are looking to public_html when it should be www.

OK,  I'll wait a little later when no one is on the site and test changing the root web dir to public_html from www at the we host side and pray it doesn't break anything.  If it does, I'll have to put it back.
