Let's just remember, Pie Charts were popular enough to go from a mod to a built in feature very quickly.

I just wish there were a way to set it for pie chart, rather than having to click on it while viewing a poll.

But I have to agree with what Michael said, too. I wish somebody could come up with a mod that could convert old poll threads to work properly with the new polls.

Took a quick peek at the code: there is a bug which causes it to use uninitialized vars which will finally break the javascript part. I've applied a quick fix so at least the charts should be working now.

Did you upload the new files from CVS that I suggested on page 2? You'll need them for favorites and notifications to work properly with the menus being all text.

Yes, I've uploaded the latest code from CVS. All fixes applied upstream should be visible here.

Welcome to the modern world!  Tongue

Great work, Michael.  I knew you could get it all working - the longer BoardMod was on the original version, the harder it gets to convert to the latest and greatest as you learned.  Now, updates should be much easier.

I think this is a true testament to the great mod writers, as much of what you see in this standard version started out as mods from this very website.

Hopefully, we can get some revived activity on BoardMod now.

Again, great work!

Changes to those files were made after you updated the board, the things ive mentioned (favorites and notifications) still dont work so you'll need to update those few files if you want them to work properly  Wink

We used to have an ALL button which would show all pages of a thread. This could be very useful when looking through multipage threads, looking for all the corrections and suggestions for a mod you are trying to update.

Any chance of getting it turned back on? (Its a check box on the first page of forum settings in the admin center.)

This is amazing news. I was honestly starting to wonder if BoardMod would ever be updated. Smiley

Thanks for all of your hard work, Michael. It's so great to see you still so involved.

I hope to get back into modding, though it will take a lot of work to track down and understand all of the changes that have been made to the code in the last two years.

The only real issue with creating mods at this point (and I am not complaining in the least) is the fact that YaBB is being update much more frequently, so every time we come up with a good mod idea, a new version of YaBB comes out and we have to start all over again. Smiley

Currently using Y2.3 With no mods (though that will hopefully change, soon).

Yes, but mostly they are small updates.

2.3 was slightly more major, but 2.3.1, most mods either worked with no changes, or took minutes to make minor changes to fit them in. I think within 48 hours of 2.3.1, every single 2.3 mod had already been verified or updated. Much of it really isn't that hard.

Now when they finally release 3 ... that will take some work!

Yes, and I think this will be so for the next YaBB updates (all 3 month) too. The changes are not huge, it's mostly a bug fixing and far less new features then in 2.3.

But may I take a moment to say thank you for all the small code tweaks that (while they may require slight tweaks to the mods for the next version) mean less bugs, less size, faster coding, and a million different tiny improvements ... most of them heralded by nothing more than:

New Profile.pl in CVS

They aren't usually the changes that get big attention, but many of us notice those 10,000 tiny improvements!

Thank you, Deti!
