Hello! I am trying to use BoardMod for changes to our 2.1 forum. However, after installation, BM repeatedly claims that it cannot find the 2.1 folder, in it's sub-directories, despite the fact that the folder clearly exists. The path to the folder is set by BM during installation, and seems to be correct.

What's going on?

Hello again. Thanks for your reply, but I'm not sure it's the answer to this specific problem. My BM installation does find the basic .pl file ok. It's problem seems to be in autodetecting the mods in the default location. This is the error message given, on start-up;

Error code 5:
BoardMod has detected the script you selected as
YaBB 2.1
However there was no mod folder found with that name.

To solve this, please create the following folder:
C:\Program Files\BoardMod\Mods\YaBB 2.1\

If you already have a folder for such mods but which is named different, please rename it to "YaBB 2.1" (type it exactly as displayed here, with all it's spaces!).

You can ignore this warning but BoardMod will no longer autodetect and select the proper script version. You'd have to select it yourself asin BoardMod 2.5. To disable this warning, set ScriptAutoDetection=off in boardmod.ini

Hello. Thanks again, for being patient with this one. Unfortunately, I have tried this fix, and the problem still remains. The installation does not create the 2.1 mods folder, and if I copy the mod to any of the other folders under the 'mods' directory, such as 2.2, then on starting, BM deletes the folder from it's selection of source folders. This means that I cannot point BM at the required mod.

I'm on vista and BM works perfectly. One slight problem which is nothing is that when I add a mod to the 2.2 folder I get a popup asking for admin permissions. I have UAC disabled also.

I just made a new folder in /Mods called "hello" and BM picked it up fine.
Maybe uninstall and try re-installing it.

I dont have problems too on my Vista Ultimate. I use the BoardMod Program from Zip on my Backup Drive. Easy start from there without install Boardmod Software.
