BoardMOD, The program

A suggestion for the next version of BoardMOD the program.
The ability to "keep" installed info for different Modified Installations.

If using the BoardMOD program, say for an example a Y2.2.3 Forum, then you need to MOD a Y2.3 Forum, you lose the Y2.2.3 MOD installation info.
Even if you are MODding 2 different Y2.2.3 Forums, MODding the second, will lose the first's info of which MODs have or have not been installed.

I just keep two boardmod installations on my computer, one attached to each forum ... but I will admit it would be easier if the program could name and handle more than one, internally.

Improving my forum, one mod at a time!

Now up and running again, with an accurate link.

The idea isn't new, it actually was implemented in an very very old alpha version of Boardmod 3. That code is about 6 years old by now though, never touched it since. The idea was to introduce profiles for each board where you could adjust all the settings for each profile separately:

I like this Idea. Because very usefully for Modwriter, if they make modfiles for different YaBB Versions like me. Current I have 2 folders of boardmod with 2 YaBB Versions (2.3 and 2.3.1) Smiley

also is it just my installation but in the mod editor when you add a step "edit file" the browse button is greyed out and I have to type the filename and path by hand.

That's because you need to setup the path to your yabb forum in the editor as well. Without this setting, the button will be disabled. The editor does not use the setting boardmod uses since it's a standalone application.

I've got 4 forums, and 4 separate boarmod installs. I only keep the scripts in each, but keep all the folders (mods) in a single directory.
