After uploading the gold/yellow .. it didn't look good at all ... really liked your idea of the green shaded one .. but don't think it shows up well ....

What do you think ?   Should we just stick with the silver (default) ?

I think the colored ones look better with that template than the silver buttons.  I think maybe they need a tad more contrast, just a bit darker.  Here are a few more to try.  We will run this play until we get it right.  Wink

I can put more emphasis on the brown colors rather than green if you want.  Something like this:

One thing that has to go, Capt. is those bright green YaBBC buttons.  Grin Shocked

I made you a set in cammo green gradient that looks like this:

You can download the whole set here.

I personally didn't like the neon green ... but it does display better .. I changed template over to camo. All black line buttons (like align left/right/center really hard to view. even B etc.

Buttons ???????/

For the YaBBC buttons, try these (in white text)

or these in very light green

Let me know if you like those better and I'll modify the set.

As to the Main buttons, any gradient that works into light color is going to be a PITA to get a text color.  Yes, all white text does overpower it.   If you can experiment with a text color you like, or background/text colors and let me know which colors, I can whip you out a button set.

Here are more variations of a couple of the above buttons to try:

Cable .. I just browsed thru your New Template uploads .... you do Awesome work !   I feel we only have 2, maybe 3 template designers onboard (driven & qersys) that are as good as you and that puts you into some good company.  Great work !  Thank you so much from us guys that just dream of having the right template for our forums !!

I'll get the buttons done tonight.  This is what you want for Main Buttons, correct?  Or do you want me to try and make the bottom a bit darker?

Thanks for the kind words re: the Templates.  I have some more ideas I'm playing around with now.. maybe something will come from it.  Wink

Okay, Capt here are your cammo buttons with light green text.

The three table buttons (table, tr, td) looked kind of odd to me in light text, so I included an extra of each (table1, tr1, td1) that keeps the black div/row lines and has the light green as a fill-in color, so that you can choose the ones you like best.

I'll work on the main buttons, but it might take a couple days, busy with a project at the moment.

oops ... I downloaded and uploaded to  y cvs site last night, and forgot to come back here and say how MUCH I like those yabbc buttons !  I used a combination of the defaults you provided and the optional table buttons.  Oh and I can "wait" ... Great Work !
  What you think ?

I think they look great on that template, much less "radioactive" than the bright green ones.  Lips Sealed   I'm a bit partial to the black lined/lt green filled-in box YaBBC buttons for the table, but that's just my opinion based on how easy it is for me to see them.  Either way the colors match up great.

I hope to have the main buttons for you this weekend.  The example in Reply #22 is what you wanted, yes?

yes ... I believe so .... markall11.png  Looks similiar to the camo green of the yabbc buttons and they should probably match color wise ...

Okay, Captain, one cammo with light green text main button set.

Here

And here's a few Bonus Graphics you might find a use for on your NamVets site. They are gifs of a VSM and gifs of the ribbon with campaign stars up through 6 campaigns.

One last thing...
