	Hi. I am trying to create a button, and am struggling to find some free software to add the transparency in the PNG format. I don't have any graphics packages on my machine! Any chance someone could do the neccessary for me?? I would really appreciate it!

	Try "GIMP" it an open source Free Graphics Image Manipulation Program... very much like Adobe Photoshop and Jasc Paintshop Pro http://www.gimp.org/windows/

	Cheers JetLi. I did try that software, but it kept making the lower half transparent too? Even though I was using the blue as the colour to loose? I must have been doing something worng!

	driven has designed 2 more Templates ... and I am helping (not very much) and have tried several button generators to design new buttons (and have failed) specifically for an otudoors/hunters/fishermans style ... I would prefer a lite tan (FFE4B5 - DEB887)/wood textured type button, with forest green or maybe a little lighter text (that is easily readable). Designing this for Y2.2.3 .. since it is easier to upgrade the template than reverse engineer to older versions. The default silver buttons work .. sort of. the gold suck .. 	IMHO .. the bottom image displays better .. If anyone would design a "Mark all as Read" button for an example, I would upload it to the template to see how it works with the theme (since that is the first button viewable on the index page). I moved the template (forum) here VVC Forum "temporarily"

	How's this one? Using the colors right off your site's template as a gradient for the button background, there is this one: Same button, with text color used as the button's border color
