Installed, works without problem.

I may eventually have a question about it in connection with templates, if/when the template switcher thing makes it to 2.3 (or maybe not ... I don't know.)
can either of them be added in the near future? I'm using it to announce book release dates, and being able to bold or italicize the titles would be nice.

Either way, as I said, installs great, works great, no problems!

Maybe, but not this time. I only update mods, that more important than add feature to mods.  Wink

Actually, i was already on my way back to report that HTML does work with this mod. So I have no requests at all, right now!

Thanks!

(Already eight mods ... four of yours, four of Derek's ... on my new 2.3 board, and everything still works absolutely perfectly!)

Hi Folks,

Having a problem getting countdown to work fine on 2.3.1 with eventcal and custom pages mods also installed.

Installed fine however the result countdown date is always wrong except once when I set it to the end of the year...
Here's a pic to explain... this one server date stamp as today - and inset, the setting I saved to initiate the countdown and inset is the result...  OKAY THIS LOOKS OKAY

BUT NOW LOOK AT THIS ONE...

set for the 28th of this month at 1930 NOW LOOK AT THE RESULT.

Apart from the first example I cannot get a result...

I've tried different inputs and hung everything but delete the relevent text file sorts that...

ANy Ideas anyone....

Kind Regards
Chris

Thanks for the quick response Jet Li....

That would make sense - no hurry - I just thought I'd read some in someones post that it comes across okay - in a similar fashion as the custompage mod that fits okay albeit with a bit of tweaking...

Kind Regards

Also, there are still several mods in the 2.2 board that did not need any updates to work for 2.3 that also work for 2.3.1, including the countdown timer mod thing.

http://www.boardmod.org/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1231348780 - still I will be patient .... Cheers now and thanks

Thanks ... get me in trouble with Jet Li again!

Though this hasn't officially been updated for 2.3.1, it installs fine and works fine.

The settings you entered in were your problem.

It asks for the hour you want to use, which is a whole number 0 to 23 or perhaps 1 to 24.

The next space down it asks for the minute, 0 to 59

For the hour you entered 1930. I realise you probably meant 7:30, but then you would enter 19 for the hour, and 30 for the minute, not 1930 for the hour.

You're telling it your date has 1930 hours in it ... no wonder the poor thing it getting it wrong!

Actually, converting that 1930 hours into days and hours, it may have it right.

Jet Li, just an idea for the next update ... to avoid this confusion, perhaps not accepting entries for hours, minutes or seconds that are not in the expected range?

@All
my plan for new version is make settings easier with a dropdown menu like the forum start date setting.  Wink

Utterly no problem ... since I was the one who said it still worked, I'm just glad I was right. (And that I was able to figure out what the problm was.)
