Also a little problem I got on one of my forums (ran by blondes so it was to be expected)

When a boardname ends with a dot (.) it goes into error and can not cope with the name in the vars file.

Hi Curtiss,

Something seems "up" with ImageShack.  The link and name in your mod changed to TagWorld.  And ImageShack.com is now a seemingly different site.  It's the Internet... things change. Wink

Seems ImageShack.us is still the ImageShack of old.  Seems there are two ImageShacks... not sure if there are name/domain issues or not (I have no idea).


Might be time to rethink the ISU 2.0a mod.

Just as a side note, sure would be great to see this mod evolve into supporting multiple image hosting sites, not just TagWorld... but also ImageSpot (coming summer of 2006), Photobucket, and others. 

I find users tend to love and hate one service over another and have their favorite... being able to use their favorite with a Y2.x forum would be a great feature.  Maybe some check boxes in the Admin Center so admins can choose which image hosts are available on their forum.  Also some check boxes in the user profile so the user can choose a default image host and/or which image hosts are display to them as posting options.

Just tossing around some ideas. Wink

I don't disagree with you.  However, that is basically only possible if those services have some method of syndication, the way that ImageShack does.

I had the same problem as Larian:
Error in the Admin section after clicking on ImageShack.
I used the converter and it worked just fine after that. Great mod. Thank you and thank you Larian for the info on that one.

Hi Guys,

i have the same problem as Larian with this Mod. I start the Converter and the file ImageShack.txt was added in the folder  /Variables. The Setting can I call, but when i will save the settings, i became the follow error message:

Can you open your Variables/ImageShack.txt and post lines 40-46 here on the forums so I can see what might be causing the problem?  I have a feeling it may be some sort of problem I didn't plan for when it comes to names of either your boards or your templates.

Okie dokie - I see the problem.  The parens in your Space(1) template seem to be making the variable file think that's a call to a perl function.

I guess I'll have to see if there's some way around that.  I don't know if I can simply run a regex to edit those parens out, or if that will make it stop working.

I deleted the file Space(1). It was not so much important. The Mod runs now perfectly. Curtis, thanks. Your reference to the Template was very important.

Hmm sorry guys I checked and double checked and the files are all loaded.  Could this be a chmod problem?  Or is it maybe a path problem?  This is a very cool mod and I would love to get her up and working   Any help would be greatly appreciate  

Heres what I got .. when i click on imageshack in the mods section i get this error?

Untrapped Error:
/home/gman1964/public_html/fiesta/philippines_talk/Admin/ImageShack.pl did not return a true value at AdminIndex.pl line 118.

Hmm.. so far i tried setting the admin path to ./  and no help at all..  i tried the chmod on imageshack.pl at 755 and 777 and 666 and no dice hmm?

okay i figured out my bad.  I used notepad to create the ImageShack.txt file to stick in the variables directory.   :dunce:  Well don't ask me why but when i saved it i named it ImageShack.txt so then when it did SAVE it was named ImageShack.txt.txt  Hehe me dummy for sure lol.  The mod works good now and is really cool that i undid my screwup.  Nice mod curtiss! :2thumbsup:

Can anybody recommend some settings for these options below for image shack?

Okay did some experimenting.... it seems like the width had to be a MINIMUM of about 460 or the boxes will not display properly. 

Also on a side note.....for mr jet Smiley  I downloaded the nice blue buttons from your site and installed them all.  Thank you very much they are very nice.  I don't know what I did wrong but I somehow missed the one for the membermap button and I also missed the one for the downloads button.  Any suggestions on that? Smiley
