Hi there.

Installed Beta 5
everything seems to be working great with the exception that images don't show within the board.
Avatars are fine and inside the Live Preview window I can see the images but once it's on the board there no images.

I am using Netscape 7, Firefox and IE and none of them work.

Sad

seems that my uploaded avatars are being distorded... I installed this mod an my Avatar is stretched... I changed the max size of avatars in admin to the size of my avatar, but it is still streched...

originally I set avatars at 150x100 in admin,,, so this might be a factor as my stretched one looks to be 150x100...

Another oddity is my avatar is not in the UsersAvatars folder Either, there are others in it so it must of worked at one time...

I know it's a stretch getting a resolve from this request, but please say anything, maybe I can gain a clue from it...

Thanks much,,,
Skink

OK I tried another avatar which is 83x100 the outcome is shrunk now... I right clicked and hit properties and the avatar is resized to 69x100...

So it seems the width is malfunctioning... Could there be a conflict in settings in AdminCenter... I mean a setting conflicting with the new "Smart Image Resize" mod settings???

another ammendment::: Please disregard the comment about the /UsersAvatars/ folder, that is from another mod "Upload Users Avatars" which has no width height specifcations, only kb size specs,,,it also is working because my username has a entry in the UsersAvatars folder...

Too bad, got the mod working nicely after a few adjustments with step 11 and 15.

But now it won't show images in Firfox.. Sad In IE it works fine..

So, better de-install the mod or has anubody got a fix ?

Hi Newbie Alert.

I have Yabb2.1 running with "Upload Users Avatars" and the security mod.

My avatars are set to 150x150 pixe;s with no kb size limits. When the resize function is applied I loose all images from the forum.

I have only tested this in IE and no other browsers. The browser reports errors on page.

Can anyone replicate my issue I would so love mod.

Cheers.

TB.

edit: Fixed.....

I found that I needed to copy the Templates\default\default.html file into my Site template.

I discovered that it worked when I went back to the default template.

Just incase anyone else is caught out.  Smiley

This is a really cool mod and I would love to run it

but..........??

I installed it and it all works but I have one major
glitch.  Any attached pictures only show the top
200 or so pixels of the pic and the rest of the pic
disappears into the post below the pic.  And there are no longer scroll bars on the pic either.  This is in internet explorer that i have the issue.  When I look at the site in firefox the attached pics are displaying fine with scrollbars in firefox and ie.

Any suggestions on this?  Has anybody else ran into this yet.  Thanks for the help!   Tongue

I installed the mod, and by the looks of it, its using some tag attributes that simply don't exist for <IMG>
Looks OK in FF but is screwed in IE - makes a change!
Is there a fix? Probably, but the oonerror attrib has to be in the body of the page.

Looks like the IE problem is because the <DIV> container for the image doesn't behave if the native attributes get removed - leave

Code
Select All
<div class="scroll" style="max-height: 400px; width: 100%; overflow: auto;" align="center">

as is - step 11 (display.pl)

I've only been able to test this on FF and IE7 so far; IE6 will get checked as soon as I can.

NB this seems to be compatible with the Add More Attachments mod.

@tompocz

what is step #8 for?
Nothing added to Settings.pl, but it looks like you were going to add the SIR variables in there?

step #11 - you need to leave the DIV attributes in place otherwise IE doesn't handle the display correctly.
