	Just a simple mod that I thought of that will turn your users' IP addresses into links that connect to DNSstuff.com's IP utilities (Reverse DNS, Whois, Geolocation, Traceroute). A mod for either the terribly paranoid or the extremely curious (or perhaps someone in between). The readme file is simply too long to display on here now. I've asked Michael to add this to the mod database and to move this thread to the final mods. 	May I suggest that you could expand this mod to include the IP address print from Display.pl and Search.pl and Memberlist.pl with the YAMS mod. Good update. ap

	I like this mod - Great Idea. It would be nice if you could give the admin the option on what tool the IP address links too. For instance, I would find it more useful if it linked to the WHOIS tool, instead of the reverse lookup. Some people may also want the geolocation tool also. Well Done 8)

	Thanks for the suggestions. I actually thought about adding functionality to the messages and YAMS (@astropilot) and letting the admin decide their choice of link (@LooneyPandora). Other than the limited functionality, I hope it's something that others have wanted (kind of works like phpBB's admin section where an IP is linked to a utility). While I was working on it last week, the hard drive in my laptop crashed (which had my mods, a lot of others' mods and about 4 different boards on it), so I've been busy rebuilding it the past couple of days and just have rebuilt the Link IP mod and reworking the other mods that I've installed on my "online" board. So when I get some time I'll look into working on your suggestions. Astropilot's suggestions won't be too difficult to implement, but it might take a little more thinking on LooneyPandora's suggestion, though certainly not an impossibility. Keep an eye out for the updates, though.

	A patch for Carsten's YaMMS mod has been included in the Link IP zip file. The readme has been updated to include support for the new patch and goes as such: ========================================= Board with Carsten's YaMMS Mod Installed= ========================================= 1) Run this mod. 2) Upload your modified Memberlist.pl file to your server. Modifies the following file: -Source/Memberlist.pl If you have any problems, comments, or bug reports, send them to: webmaster@eyeontoccoa.com. Version History: ## 1.0 ##- First Release I've also implemented the mod to link the IP addresses in Display.pl, so now the IPs are linked in your messages. Still thinking about how to make the Admin's choice of IP utility functional. And Astropilot, I was looking into your suggestion about the Search.pl function but couldn't see what you were talking about. Care to tell me where exactly to look? Thanks.

	Oops. I forgot that in a stock version of Y2 when you use the search function, ip addresses are not shown in the output. However, they do when the Seach IP mod is applied. I'll leave it up to you if you want to make a patch for that mod. ap

	Another suggestion: You could have it where the mod creates a stored list of IP addresses a username has logged in under. Would help with security.

While that might help with security, I'm not going to dive into that part, sorry. If you have a big board with a lot of members, a list of saved IP addresses would become almost gargantuan. Besides, the only purpose of this mod is to link an IP, not store it. I have a mod that only holds the Last IP of a user. Carsten's YaMMS holds the last 3. I'm certain a mod could be made to where you could store an infinite number of IP's for every user, but I'm not really interested in going that far. Perhaps someone else might, or maybe you could create it. Again, sorry.

	Thank you astropilot. I aim to please. I have updated the 4 "main" mod files as I forgot to add links to the ErrorLog.pl file (those files are Link IP, Link IP with Hidden User patch, Link IP with Hidden User and Last IP patch, and Link IP with Last IP patch). I have simply replaced the main files in the zip with the updated files. If you installed the mod(s) since this afternoon, uninstall them, download the new files, and install the new files. If you get stuck, let me know and I'll help "unjam" you.
