Search Only New mod Beta 1.0 YaBB2

This mod gives users the option of searching only the new unread posts.


Installation
---------------------------
- Mod your the files (Search.pl & ModList.pl) and upload in ASCII.
- Upload the language file in ASCII


History
--------------------------
v1.0 - Initial Update (I think there was a mod like this for YaBB 1.4)


Comments

- Although I have tested this mod on my test forum, and it seems to catch all the new unread posts and search only them, all feedback would be greatly appreciated.

This is usefull, in the sense it offers added functionality in one area ie the Search menu area.

In Y1.3, there was a feature which allowed you to search new posts since the last time you had "Marked All post read".

Is this possible in this feature. Your mod works on matching words and searching for them in new posts. Can you incorporate searching simply for new posts as a whole.

I'm not sure what you mean. The whole idea is to search only the posts that have been placed since your last visit to the forum. Can you give me some more info?

The idea was to have an option or a menu item which shows a listing of posts which are new since the time you last clicked "Mark All Posts as Read".

This way people dont have to troll each board for new posts, but have new posts from all boards on one page.

I have this feature on my old Y1.3 board and it was called "Search New Posts".

If I did this, it would be under a different mod.  I have thought about this and will probably do so if nobody get's to it first.  But know time frame.
