there are missing in Step one in shoutbox.mod No edit File?

I get error with shoutbox.mod

Step 1 ... failed - ERR(10): The search string is empty! However an empty <search for> argument is
not allowed because it would make the mod unremoveable.

Step 2 ... ok

Step 3 ... ok

Step 4 ... ok

Step 5 ... failed - ERR(1): Search string could not be found

Step 6 ... failed - ERR(1): Search string could not be found

Step 7 ... ok

Step 8 ... ok

Step 9 ... ok

Step 10 ... ok

and template.mod have no edit file.

Updated to 0.2 - download from first post

Fixed lots of typos in the .mod files - and made sure that shout-template.mod will install on a default template - if you copy your yabbfiles directory into boardmods path.

No changes to the code, just changes to the .mod files. No need to re-install if you have it working.

In UK English, it is Centre - unfortunately (for me) we decided to use the US English spelling throughout Y2

YaBBC and UBBC mean the same thing. UBBC is the version I prefer using

"Sorry, you have to post" is used when you haven't made enough posts to be allowed to shout. It's used in the error message as follows:
"Sorry, you have to post xxxx times in the forums before you can use the shoutbox"

If that makes it difficult to translate, I could change how it is worded if you like?

UBBC = Universal Bulletin Board Code - not specific to UBB - most bulletin board systems support the same code. Which is why it's universal

When your German translation is complete, I'll add it to the package - just attach it in this thread

Some Comments in German:
-is ziemlich frei, aber passend
-Hab einfach mal Shouts beibehalten, da man ja Shouts von Beiträgen trennen muss und Nachrichten und Ausrufe nicht wirklich passt
-is zwar sie, aber das du sollte jeder hinkriegen

I think there is something wrong with step6. The text to search for and the text in the profile.pl looks equal to me, but it somehow aint  


Edit: Seem like i deleted a , at the end of line 14(Text 2).  


Edit2: o.O Curious, I cant access the shoutbox-settings in Admin-Centere( ) and the Shoutdisplay keeps getting me 500 -_-
No problems with the modlist and the profiles...
Checked chmods fpr 5 times

The moment I have been waiting for.

I have installed the latest Yabb 2 and your excellent mod

I am having a few problems

1. I had to move Shoutbox.pl to the top directory of Yabb2.

2. The same with ShoutDisplay.pl

This could be something I have done

3. I can not get the Shoutadmin opening in the admin centre

4. I have the shoutbox showing on the left hand side of my forum but when I post a shout it shows the whole forum with in the shoutbox area. Also the shout does not post to the shoutbox.txt.

any ideas
