I ran into a problem. Initially everything looked to work fine. After several days I returned to find that my entire ban list was gone. When I installed the mod all the items (usernames, email, and IP) had been listed with 0 days (meaning unlimited ban). Today, they are all gone. Any ideas?

Ok... I reentered all the banned information... each was set to 0 which meant an unlimited ban... when the server time changed from Apr 7th to the 8th the list was deleted. When I first installed it, I played with it a good bit and everything seemed to work... this one thing seems to be the problem in an otherwise excellent mod. I'm not sure if it's because I'm using 2.1 and the mod was written for 2.0 or what. Does anyone have any suggestions?

That does not work for me... see replies #106 & 107. On webserver date change all bannings set to 0 get deleted.

There is something definitely screwy. I thought that the issue was with setting the banning to 0 and the server date change, but that can't be it. I did as suggested and used 365 days. When I reinstalled that mod it was already after the server date changed so I didn't think I could confirm this as a good work around to later today. I just checked, the email banns are there, the username banns are their, but the IP banns are all gone. I'm not sure when it happened because I kept checking it before I went to bed and everything seemes fine till late. I'm running mod version 1.2, with "Fix - Bann & Mod Functions YaBB 2". Any ideas?

Added: Twenty minutes after posting this all of the email banns are gone. usernames are still holding.

If I were you, I might check the permissions on the files associated with this mod.

I changed the directory to a unique name and also password protected it back when I first installed YaBB... or are you talking about chmod file permissions?

I don't believe wildcards work with this mod. You need the "Distilled Email Domains YaBB2" mod to do what you want.

I was referring to the chmod file permissions.  Just thought maybe your changes simply can't be written to the variable file.
