I notice there are a few people developing this tool...

I also notice that YaBB2x is somewhat advanced from ver 1.x..

Man,, did they do a good job or what!!!..


anyway i have a question,,,
Can we have the topic view counter increment when the RSS client
reads it?

I have made RSS Feed compatible with Sub boards 1.0.8, it will now feed the Sub boards. I just need to do some testing, hopefully it will be finished soon if i find the time.

When you sey version 1.0.6 or 1.0.2
Is it all aplay to Yabb 2.x version or ?!?

The mod does not show any thing on the forum its self, it just makes the RSS feed.  If you want a link to your RSS feed you have to edit your template (you can use the rss_button.gif that comes with the mod).

I've installed a few different versions of this on my forum. Both Beta 6 and 7. I go to the admin centre and everything is there. I set the options for which boards I want to include. When I go to the RSS URL using RSS Reader it says "Feed not found or connection failed".

If I try going to the URL using Firefox 2 it prompts me to download a php file. I'm sure I've set everything up correctly and I really want to get this working. Any help appreciated.

freddy-lives::: Did you check the category and the board?
For example to feed "Serie A" you have to check "Serie A" and "Italian Football" in the admin centre.

Yes I checked that. I'm not sure if it's to do with my host blocking some setting that needs to be allowed.  ???

The only other thing I can think of is that I've uploaded the modified files using the wrong methods. IE: ASCII and binary.

Can someone tell me which format the modified files have to be uploaded in?

Thanks for this MOD... I have managed to add the RSS button for the main forums in the BoardIndex.template but how do I add a button for each different board? I know I have to add it to the following script in cgi-bin\yabb2\Templates\default\MessageIndex.template but it has obviously got to be a different link for each board. Does anybody know how to do this?
