	Here is the MenuItems mod which allows the Admin to add/modify/delete links on the YaBB mani menu (top menu) from the comfort of the Admin Center. Link Removed as mod has been added to the mod database. Be sure to read the Help file before installing. Dan

	I'm not sure that the latest version of this mod (I think is ver 1.5). Has the option for menutext only in the MenuItem or not? Thanks

	Yes and no. The MenuItems mod still uses the default YaBB text only setting so if you check the text only option on the Forum Prefs page the MenuItems menu will be text only but then you will also lose other icons throughout the forum. However, you could create a 1x1 transparent gif file and use it as the icon for all your menu items so you could have an image free menu and keep the other forum icons. Dan

	If you decide to make one of the "extra" menues available only for a certain membergroup, will it still be possible to reach that menu if you know the url, or will the mod check if the user is logged in as the permitted membergroup. If not, does anyone know of such mod? Best regards, Gabriel

	No, this mod won't check the permissions. That would have to be done in the script itself. Are you talking about a YaBB feature or an external script?

	Hi, thank you for your answer. I would prefere having it as a yabb feature since I don't want to force my users into registering twice. If that's not possible I could use an external script, but that I can find on my own. Best regards, Gabriel

	MenuItems checks to see if the user is a guest/member/member-of-a-member-group/administrator and provides the menu items appropriate for the user's status. Who sees which items is set by the admin. That is the extent of the permission checking that the MenuItems mod provides. If you want to check the status of users accessing your script then you would need to provide the code for that in your script. For example, you could use MenuItems to provide a link to URL=MyScript whatever that might be and set up the menu item so that only admins would see the link on the YaBB menu. If you provide no more protection within your script then anyone with the URL to MyScript could go to your script and use it. MenuItems only sets up the links to other actions, it doesn't control access to those actions (other than through obscurity, a poor form of protection). To protect MyScript you would need to add the user access control within MyScript. Since you are using YaBB I suggest borrowing YaBB's user verification code since it is already written and you might save yourself some work. Dan

	When MenuItems is enabled I lose the member of the day tag...any suggestion why and how I can get them to both work together.
