Posts going missing (Read 6150 times)

	I'm not quite sure what's causing it, but I'm assuming it might be a mod, so I thought I would post in this board. Please move this post if it belongs somewhere else. I just had a problem on my forums, and I had noticed it rather often on another YaBB forum that I frequent. I replied to a post on my boards, and the reply should have started a new page. However, instead of starting a new page, my post just disappeared. I had to make two more posts before my original reply finally appeared. Of course, I then tried removing one of my test replies, and my original reply disappeared again (the topic went back down to one page). Please help me correct this. I can put up with it happening on the boards that I frequent, but I really don't want it happening on my own forums.

	It happened again. It happens every time a post should start a new page. It's almost like YaBB is counting the number of posts incorrectly, so it's not starting a new page until three posts are on that next page.

	That used to happen on this forum when a topic had VERY many pages. The gallery topic on the beta board immediately comes to mind. Hopefully Michael will see your question and tell you what he did to fix it.

	Yeah - that's the other funny thing. I noticed it on the other boards I visit, but it was only happening with lots and lots of pages (at least 10). Unfortunately, though, it started happening on my board as soon as it started the second page. Does anyone think it's possible that some variable is screwed up somewhere, so that BoardMod thinks a new page starts two posts after the new page really should start?

	Sorry to flood this topic, but I just noticed one other weird thing. I have the "goto last post" mod installed, and when I click on the link, it takes me to the post 2 posts before the last post (for instance, there are 41 posts in the topic in question right now, but when I click on the link to goto last post, it takes me to post 39).

	NEVERMIND I think I figured it out. It seems, when my posts all disappeared the other day, and I had to kind of re-build my board index, somehow two of the posts in that topic ended up not being counted. It seems that after fixing that error, everything is back to normal. Sorry for bugging everyone about it. I should have checked that in the first place.

	I have the rebuild mod installed. My posts are disappearing when you have something locked and then unlock it. It re-appears after re-building the message index. It would be nice if it didn't happen in the first place. Any ideas? I have tested this and I think it has to do with sticky shimmy shuffle mod. For the board to disappear it must be stickied AND locked. You can remove both and it is fine. If you only unlock it it disappears.
