And of course, one of the things we need to eventually have with this is an extra section to keep track of who has the best overall scores for multiple quizzes.

Do you realise how incredible YaBB would be if all of us who threatened to learn Perl actually would? Wink

Hi all,
First I would like to say thanks to all that write this stuff. It is great fun.
I have installed this mod on 1.3.1 without trouble, but when it is used, only the quiz creator and admin can see the quiz. when Admin clicks on "take this quiz" (for other quiz creators) I get an error "You have solved this quiz. Please take another quiz."
I have the settings at 10,5,1,check,check.
Hope you can help and thanks again.
Bob

Now I seem to be having similar problems with this mod.. I can enter a quiz..no one can see it but me and then I only get to see half the thing..
I tried the solutions to the quote but that doesn't seem to work.. any help would be appreciated..

Any news on this mod? - Have there been any more updates since the "d" release? - I'm going to try it on my beta board now.

Well it's working fine for me - no problems so far.

I did find the permissions side of this mod to be rather limiting - I wanted a specific membergroup to have permission to create quizzes, and had to manually edit each of the if statements in quiz.pl to do so.
I remember that the newcalendar mod has a field in it's preferences which specifies which membergroups could post events - Could a similar setup be incorporated into this mod? - I looked at the newcalendar "sub calsettings" and found it pretty confusing.

I just installed Quiz to 1.3.1 and it's great

But like the previous poster, I'd like to level control.
It seems that all groups can take the quiz, except "guests"

I want to limit it to just certain groups. "members"

There is a error that says they have to login or register (if they haven't which must check to see if they have "guest" status.  I'd like to change this or at least change the entire Yabb to give blank membergroup (what they seem to get after they register) "guest" status again so stop them from doing anything until I've authorized them with a membergroup upgrade.

Is anyone having a problem where a user creates a quiz and can't delete it?
I'm not sure if I installed something incorrectly, or if it is a mod problem.
Thanks  version 1.3.1

I have been working on revisions to the quiz mod and would appreciate some feedback.
If anyone is interested in the addeed features, I will be glad to send the code to whoever is still working on this mod
Modifications are heavily borrowed from existing mods.  I'll put together a list to give credit to all.
I think I have most features working.

Added:
-- A "released" action based on a pre-set number of questions and a separate "release" button.
Quizzes can be released by the Administrator or quiz creator.

-- A category for each quiz.  Categories are pre-set in the admin center.  Quizzes can be sorted by category

-- You can no longer add questions to a released quiz.

-- All quiz display information is available to all users (no question information) for all released and unreleased quizzes

-- Message display in Add question mode and display mode showing number of questions entered and number required to release the quiz

-- HTML modifications.

If you're interested, you can try it on the test board at http://www.suburbanassault.com/cgi-bin/yabb_bvc131/YaBB.pl

There are 3 users set up

user = test  password = test
user = test1 password = test1
user = test2 password = test2

if anyone has the time to check this out and point out the bugs, it would be greatly appreciated.
still trying to learn perl! -- still a work in progress

This is a great mod!  It installed fine with one change to step 1, I had to add a ")" since it was my last sub.  Anyway, 1) enable the user to delete just one specific question, 2)allow the admin to set the number of possible answers,3) include an explanantion box for each question (maybe admin enabled) at the time of the answer review, and 4)allow the user to send an email, IM, to dispute an answer.  I hope you really consider suggestions 1-2 because they are really needed.  No 3 would be a good addition to help instruct the user in why an answer is right or wrong.

This is one of the better new feature mods out there.  We use YaBB on our Med School student page and I'm sure will get more interest just because of this mod.   Congrats and thanks.

I've the problem, that user can't delete their Quizes too, and if you click on the coloumn of time, Quizes don't appear in order of their creation Sad

I would have a coloumn in the overview, where i see if i made the quiz already!

I stalled version 'd' and have a couple problems.

There is no place to set the 'diffculty' of a quiz that I can find.

Also, people have taken my first quiz but it still says 0 for number of participants.

Anyone else had these problems?

???
