Rating 4.6 for YaBB SP 1.3

Let your members rate whatever you want - mods - movies - books - games - music...
Create items for users to rate (or download and rate) or let one membergroup or all members create items. Show rating, votes, clicks (if URL provided) and graphics bar.

Clicking on a bar, will open an "Item Breakdown" screen.

A addon for adding a new option to the board-setup area of MBCO2 is now included in the .zip package. When checked every topic of the board will have Rating added at the top.

New since ver 4.5:
- Admin can disable download from Admin Center
- Some minor code streamlining

New since ver 4.4:
-fixed delete rating/topic bug
-fixed enable/disable guest rating in posts
-fixed Lock/Unlock Ratings in Posts/Rating
-fixed Move Ratings in Posts/Rating

New since ver. 4.3:
The rating in threads have been updated to a more "Poll like" layout showing the item-breakdown graphics and the description (if excist). A update from 4.3 to 4.4 mod is included in the package.

New since ver. 3.0:

"Title-link" opens a new window.

Admin option to disable guest-download.

Settings moved to "Admin Center - Forum Preferences and Settings".

Admin can delete comments.

Admin and moderators can add/remove ratings in topics from "Admin Functions": Example.

Members can create code to paste on any HTML page and let everybody rate their site, item or whatever. This way admin can use Rating as a "Top list" site:

Rating 4.5 Items

Features:

Admin and moderators can insert/delete Rating in any thread.
Admin can delete users (offensive) comments.

-Admin can add, edit, reset and delete items from the Rating Admin Center
  • add new or select existing category
  • support UBBC in description
  • if URL provided the "Name" will be a link
  • reset rating, votes, clickcount and start date for selected item
  • add a general description to the top of every page
  • support UBBC in general description
  • if all items in a category are deleted the category is automatically deleted

-Admin can create links, HTML- and SSI code
  • easy creation of links: Select item, click on "Create Rating code"
  • HTML code with Rate selectbox and graphics bar for use in external pages
  • links for use in YaBB posts
  • links for use on external pages
  • SSI code for use on any shtml page at your site
  • SSI code for Select box is default, admin can add Title (incl. link and clicks), Bar and Description

-Admin can change settings from the Admin Center
  • enable/disable comments
  • set max. number of characters in comments
  • give members of one or all membergroups access to add, edit, reset and delete their own items and create code to paste in their own web-site
  • allow guest rating
  • Enable/disable guest-download
  • view/hide item description on "Item Breakdown screen"
  • set items per page
  • set default sorting to "Category/Rating", "Category/Name", "Category/Clicks", "All/Rating", "All/Name" or "All/Clicks"
  • choose between "Vertical" or "Horizontal" layout

  • users can undo/redo rating
  • users can add a comment to their rate
  • users can sort items by "Category/Rating", "Category/Name", "Category/Clicks", "All/Rating", "All/Name" and "All/Clicks"
  • users can jump to category (if more than one)
  • users can view "Item Breakdown" by clicking on a Rating-bar

Hey Carsten,

Installed and works perfectly...except...you remember how last time I couldn't actually rate in the topic but I could in the rating center...well...I hate to say it but it's doing it again...last time I did as you instructed and it worked beautifully....

Should I do the same again...or has the code changed... The only problem is that I can't seem to find that thread???

Now...if you rate it in the rating center, and then go to the thread...it will show it...

weird... ??? but it did happen last time but you easily fixed it with a small modification...

@tenl - as far as i remember it was the multidelete mod that nested the Rating form - if that is true - yes you should do the same again.

hello ,
i got  this working  on my board (sp1.3.1) and  i gotta say its absolutely spot on,its a  nice mod,well done Wink
i gotta say    tho im not anywhere near as skilled  in this  dep as  everyone else  here,. but how do i create  a or  insert a picture next to  each  Rating ?  its probably so obvious that i  cant  see the  wood for the trees  Cheesy
anyway, anyone know  how   please ?

oh,nearly forgot 1 last thing.....comments,.
i dont seem to be able to get comments working ?
and can only admin leave comments ? ive tried both ,reg user and as a dmin.

Use UBBC table and img tags to insert images next to the text in the item-description

Example:

About the comments - remember that the comments-input field will only be visible when you have added/changed your vote.

carsten !! thats excellent. this mod is perfect for  me... ill explain,
i run an " unsigned" trance artists site,. and often it  means  voting on a  track..... this solves my probs.

Man you keep adding and adding to this already awesome mod...

We should consider put it into the "Mod Hall of Fame" Grin

O jave add more membergroups...should I un/resintall that 4.4 amm or will the update from 4.3 to 4.4 work ???
