Add More Membergroups

Not sure if this is a bug, but when I installed the Add more membergroups mod for SP1, I set some categories to be for certain membergroups that you could attain by post count. When my users reached that membergroup, the category became visible to them, but they said they could not access the forums. Is there anyway I can fix this?
