snYpir - ver 1.2 is just what I was after. Thanks Smiley

In my opinion you should leave the << and >> as it clearly distinguishes the Categories.

Nice work on this one.

nasty Undecided

any other mods installed that might have modified the boardindex.pl file?

when you uninstall the mod using boardmod does the problem fix itself?

itswheelie - excellent! Grin

Yngwiedis:

hmm, unfortunately it is not suprising the mod doesn't work if you have heaps of other mods that modify the boardindex.pl file.

the strange thing is that it installs with no conflicts... ???

perhaps you could list here the mods that you are using that modify the boardindex file...?

(don't worry about global mod, advanced im or more board and cat options)

Wink

dude! you weren't kidding eh?

i cannot hope to solve your problem for you, if you knew which mod was conflicting then perhaps i'd have half a chance. Undecided

the mod is simple enough, but it relies on the main loop that 'adds' boards to the html page to be more or less in tact.

Sorry but i can't help you dude Embarrassed

Perhaps u should try and install the mod manually.

actually I think he has the mod installed already. Obvious it is conflicting with one of his many others.

as a suggestion could Yngwiedis use Boardmod to go through each of his mods and make list of each one that changes the Boardmod.pl file. Should not take him long because I did it for all mine and I have ~30 mods installed.

That will narrow it down a LOT.

wow nice, been waiting for somthing like this for a long time! expandable yabb just didant do much but this is great!

Just a few quick questions, whats the default? all minimised or all out? is there a way to set the default for all users?

how can i remove the » from the end of the cat titles?

Anyways great job, this is what YaBB was missing from maiing it truly great for karger boards Smiley

as of version something ??? the default is all out. this stops people from being confused when they log onto to a freshly modded board and all the boards have dissapeared!

no, there is no way to set the default from outside the code. i assume u want certain boards collapsed when a new user registers or something... i'll keep the idea in the back of my mind, and if i get a chance i'll look at implementing it. no promises, its been a big weekend yabb-wise Wink

again, the << and >> are hard coded in. to remove em, edit the mod file and delete all instances of '« ' and ' »' and the << and >> will be gone.

there are two instances of both. 8)

note the blank space after the « and before the »

yes it seems the default is all collapsed. My board ran hot with posts thinking all the forums had disapperd until they worked out how the new mod worked.

No problem tho because even the newbies worked it out very quickly and they were unanimous in their praise for the mod Smiley

the default was collapsed, until version 1.2 (for that very reason itswheelie) Wink

please make sure u do upgrade to version 1.3 dude - i forgot that the .cat files had to be deleted when members delete their profile and version 1.3 does this. Kiss

snYpir - sorry I totally misunderstood. Yes as far as the icons go, I like how they are in V1.2

I thought RagE was talking about the categories themselves.

The default with 1.2 is all the categories are collapsed not expanded.

Sorry if I misunderstood.

BTW I like the << and >>. It suggests that it is a clickable link (which it is)
