I know this may sound silly but ever since I installed YaBB my site has slowed to a crall  Tongue

Hi VorTeX

YaBB don't consume your bandwidth... it' Perl using a lot of CPU speed... so if your server has a low CPU it's possible that your website is going slow...

Especially YaBB takes alot of CPU power but if you don't have much traffic, that shouldn't affect your page, except your server's CPU is very slow... But remember, the server can also get slower not because of your page but because of other sites on it. You can simply check if your page is the problem by renaming YaBB.pl to YaBB.pl.bak for example. This would disable your whole YaBB board. If that speeds up your page a lot, then YaBB is the problem.

That was my next step, but I cant even connect with the FTP right now.
I dont want to change from YaBB, I have always liked this system and its ability to be changed.

You could ask your host why the server is so slow Wink

Never even phased mine....... Must be a server-side lag.
