Uploadable Photo Album

Folks,

I been developing a tool that allows YABB users to upload photos to a public gallery.

It still has some issues (install can be frustrating), but it's quite flexible, and has a number of useful features.

You can download it here:

That site also has documentation and example sites, so you can see what it looks like in action.

anywayz, this is a real good hpoto album, but as mike said can be a pain in the backside to install Wink

Sure there is...

In album.cfg, if you set:

upload_authentication_type=3
and
membersdir=/your/yabb/members/dir

Then voila! Only YABB registered users can upload photos. It ties it directly into your forums.

Edit: BTW, it can also be used for file uploads, it's not just restricted to images. Check out http://www.axleonline.com/cgi-bin/album.pl for an example... (This site uses YABB integration, too.)

Anyway, would be cool if you'd make it a real mod, means with a link in YaBB and stuff. This way it would attract much more users, too Wink

No worries, it was buried pretty deep...

I agree about making it an "official" mod, but if I do, than all the "no forum" and UBB (can I say that here?  Wink ) users will be out of luck...

Why that? Make a seperate version for YaBB besides the standalone version!
It wouldn't be a big mod, too, means the mod file itself may just add a link somewhere to access the photo album...

Ok,.. how do I get this to work with the YaBB security mod? All my passwords are encrypted and it looks like the base install will only accept unencrypted passwords.

Aha. Yeah, it does plaintext password authentication only. If you give me some specs on the "security" module, I might be able to fix it. (I.E. Is the password stored in the same place, what algorithm does it use to encrypt, etc.)

P.S. Demonslayer, spent 7 years in the Infantry, though I'm now on the "ready" list and working in civilian life...

If you download  password security and look at the code u should ifnd the info u need
